Bruny Island Long Weekend
Bruny Island was the perfect introduction for a first-timer in Tasmania. Rob and Alex - the exceptional guides - described it as like Tasmania in miniature". It's got all of Tassie's key habitats

My sister, brother-in-law and I had a spectacular Christmas holiday on Bruny Island thanks to the amazing team at Bruny Island Long Weekend. The guides were knowledgeable and friendly, the bushwalks were stunning, and all the details of the meals and lodging were very much appreciated.

Bruny Island Long Weekend
I love to bushwalk, I love food and wine and I love Bruny Island. What better way to experience all three than to spend three wonderful days on the Bruny Island Long Weekend. Together with 7 fellow enthusiastic 'Long Weekenders', I was treated to fabulous local food and wine, luxurious tented accommodation and stunning scenery. It was amazing to fit in so many experiences in such a short amount of time; two boat trips (including an exhiliartating boat ride out to see some seals on board Pennicott Adventures), collecting oysters, daily bushwalks with amazing views, visiting a vineyard, enjoying a delicious lunch in a beautiful local garden and a seaplane ride home on the last day. That was a real treat, especially as it meant we didn't have to spend the whole afternoon travelling in order to get back to Hobart. Each night we retreated to our accommodation and indulged in local food and wine for dinner in the delightful communal dining area, surrounded by birds and bushland. Each morning we would wake to those same birds in our tents having slept so comfortably in our beds with crisp linen and cosy doonas. There were so many unexpected surprises on this trip. Even the shower buidling felt like a luxurious experience, with lovely toiletries and an amazing open-air feel and stunning outlook to a host of tall trees.Rob and his team did such a wonderful job of meeting everyone's needs. You don't have to be an avid bushwalker or foodie to enjoy this trip, it's just a wonderful way to spend a long weekend exploring Bruny Island - a little jewel off the mainland of Tasmania.
