IGA Moura

Great service. Prices are fair. One thing is it doesn't have a whole lot of variety, but that's due to the fact it is a small shop and in a small town. It has more then enough food to get you buy though.

They were installing a new fridge section so we patiently waited outside while they moved it out of the way and we purchased a bottle of milk although the shop was well stocked that's all we needed

You have the expectation that supermarkets in smaller towns (Moura) would have a smaller range and higher prices. Not the case here. Great range, some pricing cheaper than larger metropolitan competitors (W & C). Check out guy was very friendly and welcoming to us nomads passing through.

I usually only shop at Cole's or Woolworths Supermarkets because I live in a Capital City (Brisbane, Queensland) where they dominate the marketplace when it comes to grocery shopping and because they're the Biggest you'd think that'd make them the cheapest when compared to the smaller players like IGA, Foodworks, etc but I have recently travelled throughout Queensland from south to north on the east coast as well as the far western outback (rural, remote and regional Qld, from north to South) where I visited a large number of towns and cities in our beautiful State. The entire east coast starting in the South and finishing in the far North, then through, the interior/western regions inland, this time starting in the North and finishing in the South. Huge country IGA at Moura with a full supermarket offering.One can purchase everything required for living in the big Cities.Certainly much better than 90%+ of outback towns in Qld.Cornetts IGA stores appear, from this outlet, to be superior to many country IGA's.

Cornett's in Moura punches above its weight.The Deli section is diverse well priced and some offerings i have not seen at other supermarkets.The fresh produce is top quality and early season mangoes were available week 1 September.Their aisles are high and full and a team of staff were constantly stacking under a managers eye.A great surprise in a remote coal mining town.

Be prepared to spend a bit extra for the necessities.

This is a great IGA supermarket. It may appear small from the outside but it is not, step inside and be surprised. Prices are more than acceptable also watch out for the specials.

Great shop for a small country town has alot in the store and has just up graded all the fridges and looks awesome
