ATC badminton centre

I shared a very unpleasant experience here with a few other friends I arrived at the courts with. I have been at these courts twice, this being my third, but I had never had issues before this. They checked our shoes for suitability of their courts, which is reasonable but only did so after payment for the one hour duration. We were rejected because our shoes were apparently not suitable enough and would damage the court by leaving black residue from our shoe soles. This problem escalated when we requested a refund. The woman manning the desk, with short hair and small stature, refused and pointed out that the sign posted at the reception window clearly shows which shoes can and cannot be worn on the courts. From the point of entry of the warehouse/building/courts, the reception is located along the left hand side of the wall; the open reception window is located on the left hand side of this wall; the shoe" sign is located on the right side of the window at the reception window; the reception window is approximately 1.5 meters. Playing here is really great. The coach is serious and responsible. He often shares practical playing skills with us, and also holds some courses similar to teaching. Not only can we learn how to play badminton, but we can also make new friends. I will keep coming!

The most poorly run badminton centre I've come across. For some reason the only place where I've see people vaping indoors and the staff are either unaware or don't care. It's the most bizarre thing that I saw not just one person but several doing this on the sidelines.They advertise social sessions from 7pm but there were 20+ people with only 1 court. It wasn't until 9pm that there were enough courts for everyone present.Compared to other social sessions in Sydney it's also home to some of the more inconsiderate players I've seen. Including someone refusing to go off court despite others waiting and inviting friends in.Parking is also a bit of a mess.In summary, it's a health hazard which is also poorly run. I'd pay a bit more and go to one of the places in Silverwater or further west.Edit: See the below response from the owner. It's blatantly obvious he doesn't care and would rather deflect/deny than actually do anything about the place. Go elsewhere unless you want to support a dodgy business.

One of the few worst courts in Sydney.1. Narrow courts2. Crowed venue3. Dark lightning.4. Inconvenient to access.I really have no reason to recommend anyone to play here. There are so many choices around now.

This is the third month my son and I have played here and the ATC Badminton grounds have never let us down, clean and well maintained. You can always find like-minded people and never feel alone. My son has grown up here so much, thank you guys

The ATC badminton court has been one of my most visited places so far this year. I can play ball, make friends, and even watch other people play here! Such a great badminton atmosphere.

Charges $3 per person if you don't give them cash. Very Rude and very unprofessional.Not recommended.During Social session they charge us $3 per person extra if you don't give them cash.The court light come straight to the eyes. Boycott them until they become alright & change their attitude :)

I recently visited ATC badminton court and was blown away by the quality of the facilities and the coaching team. However, what really stood out was the coaching team - they were all incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and dedicated to helping players improve their game. They provided valuable tips and feedback, tailored to each player's needs and skill level. Even as a beginner, I felt welcomed and encouraged, and left the court feeling more confident and inspired than ever. Overall, I highly recommend ATC badminton court to anyone looking for a top-quality badminton experience - you won't be disappointed!

Scary place outside at night, courts are extremely close together (like, 1 net post between 2 courts as you can see in pictures), no dead shuttle bins, no water fountain so you're forced to buy drinks if you don't bring enough, and toilet is off premises and you need to borrow a key. No refunds/cancellations no matter what; most other places allow refund until 48 hours in advance, and sometimes less if you ask nicely.The court mat material are not on floorboards, but on concrete, so it feels a lot harder - personal preference for you. Lighting is sufficient in my opinion, and there is no issue with dazzling or shuttle passing through lights which I personally prefer.
