Barcaldine Ironbark inn motel

Visited this place 18/11/22got the rump stake it was cooked as ordered and was awesome,friendly staff,country and western music in the back ground, good atmosphere well worth the visit. Would highly recommend.

Dinner when we stayed here was delicious, it's hard to find a place to stay when travelling with animals so being able to stay here with our cats was great.

Excellent customer service from the very start, Glen was kind enough to show us the rooms prior. Very clean and comfortable rooms, we are staying in the pet friendly cabins - extremely clean with great air-conditioning. Restaurant attached has great food with cold drinks. I recommend and would also stay here again. Can’t fault the service or rooms whatsoever.

I stayed in pet friendly room. The carpet is putrid, basin leaks, power points either don't work at all or zap you when you use the bathroom one. The lino in bathroom is ripped and tiles falling off wall in shower. The curtain clips are broken, so privacy is an issue, so glad I brought my own sheets! Sleeping with lights and TV on is a must. I would have left and kept driving except I have night vision problems. No handrail for the steps up to room. The pub meal was nice though.

Can't comment on the rooms as we didn't stay at the motel, but we stopped at the restaurant for tea.Menu: the usual pub items - steak, schnitzel, snags, pasta, fish and, (unusually) garlic pawns.Service: friendly and efficient - 15 minutes from ordering to receiving what we ordered.Decor: Woolshed inspired outback beergarden? Wood slab tables, open sided walls with little protection from the elements, concrete floor, bench seats.Food: really good! The garlic prawns were succulent, juicy and tasty, served on a bed of beautifully cooked rice. The garlic sauce was a little salty, but that is only a very minor criticism. The oven baked barramundi was excellent, cooked perfectly, and the vegetables and mash were also great.Prices: very reasonable.Recommended!

WORST place EVER!!! Extremely rude to guests. Avoid this hole of a motel, there are MUCH better just a few hundred meters up the road. If I could have given zero stars I would have.

OK the meal is good family cooking. And the menu is restricted at the moment. But the cook and his wife were lovely. The music was great. I just loved the place very rustic. Outback people are very friendly. I will remember our short stay very fondly

We stayed overnight in a pet-friendly cabin on 19-01-2023. The cabin was well appointed and it was evident that a lot of care was taken to renovate the space. The cabin was clean and tidy, with a small station set up for tea, coffee and a microwave.Parking was ample for the car and our trailer, which could remain hitched overnight in a well-lit area close to the accommodation. Even being close to the main road, it was quiet throughout the night and made for a good night's sleep.Booking was easy, and we couldn't be more thankful to them for accommodating ourselves and our two cats as we trekked across the country from Canberra to Darwin.

Was discussed as the room was dirty and the bed sheets weren't changed from the person before us water leaking from the toilet and carpet was filty will not be recommended it to any one not even my dog not good for Barcaldine

Don't like leaving a bad review but the room we stayed in was very dirty. Was hair in the shower and looked like it was not cleaned in along time. The outdoor food area was very nice with nice food.
