About the Business

Tenison Woods College | Home | Tenison Woods College is a co-educational Roman Catholic secondary school in Mount Gambier, South Australia. It is named after the pioneer priest, scientist and educator Fr. Julian Tenison Woods in recognition of his contribution to Catholic education. It was established in 2001 as an R-12 Catholic college as a result of the efforts of the Parish of Mount Gambier, the Boards and community of Tenison College and St. Pauls Primary School. The school's motto is Let Your Light Shine (from Matthew 5:16) which is displayed on the school logo. Tenison Woods College has over 1300 students and over 150 staff members.

I went to school here a couple years ago for 1 year and was bullied constantly, had no friends and teachers did nothing about it even though I went to them multiple times. Don't go here if your child is going to be the new kid" and used to be fat."

Very disappointed witnessed severe scalding of a male child from senior positions of trust. Saddened at my own child's experience of teacher bullying of child. Compassion towards children who choose to bully in playground if these are the examples of leaders educating students. There were excellent teachers and there were disappointing teachers. If you don't fit the box this is not the school for your child.

Many students are bullied by children who have high-profile parents in this tight-knit region, so teaching staff & management don't do anything for fear of social & economic repercussions. The comments on Google review show just the tip of the iceberg.
