NumberWorks'nWords Tutoring Putney

We’ve been long time customers at the Numbers Works and Words in Putney. Lisa and her team have helped my two children navigate progressively and successfully through levels of both English and Maths. The tutors created an environment in which my children could build confidence, feel able to ask questions and resolve misunderstandings. Both children have moved through primary school to high school and found the tutoring supported that transition well. I have recommended Lisa and her team to many friends without hesitation.

My son was struggling with maths when he started with Lisa Rowntree and her amazing team at Putney. He had no confidence, hated maths and even more so tutoring. That journey thanks to the amazing patience, persistence and belief in my son has paid off. Last week 3yrs into our journey my son has been asked to move into advanced Maths and this is, believe it or not now his favourite subject. We are now working on English and he continues Maths tutoring. Thankyou Lisa and your team for your continued hard work and positive attitude towards my son. You never gave up and always believed he could do it and well he has. To all parents don't give up have patience and trust what Lisa tells you. Lisa and the team at Number Works and Words Putney is fantastic!For the last few years my son has experience a few challenges at school. At the beginning of kindergarten he was diagnosed with ADHD with general anxiety which added a few behavioural complications that needed to be managed in the mainstream school system.As a result, son’s academics suffered which also increased his level of anxiety in the classroom.We enrolled Cooper at NW&W toward the end of year 1 as well as the School holiday program to bring him up to speed and it has worked fabulously.He is now on par with the rest of the kids in his year 2 class and as a result his anxiety has lessened and we have had no more behavioural issues in the classroom.Lisa is fantastic and the programs are tailored to your child - not a one size fits all approach because each child learns differently.Thanks Lisa and team.

The owner Lisa is very helpful & friendly and all the teachers at the centre interact well with children.
