Lake Cathie Medical Centre

Considering there are claims they are Mental Health Friendly..Maybe a Doctor my the name of Simon needs to refresh his oath not to pre judge patients .

Amazing centre and staff. I have gone through complex heath issue discoveries in the last couple of years and most have been due to the caring dr at lake Medical centre reviewing me during my visits. May be times where you wait however all patients receive same care and attention by not only the dr but the nurses and reception staff.

The reception staff are rude, lacking in customer service and have a terrible phone manner. At my most recent visit yesterday with my 18 month old, we waited for close to an hour before we were seen by a doctor. The receptionist took a lengthy personal call whilst I waited to receive an update on why my scheduled appointment ran so overdue. Extremely unprofessional. It would be nice if the reception staff phoned in advance to advise that their doctors were running over time like most other reputable medical centres. The admin staff are clearly undertrained which is a shame as the doctors are lovely and the location is great. We will not be returning to this Centre.

I want to very highly commend the excellent service that Dr Pieter Nieuwoudt and his team has given on behalf of the dental practice. They have been extremely friendly and professional and they are great with kids. Thanks team, you'll definitely see us again.

I've been going here for years for lack of choice. Dont bother calling if you need to see a Dr without waiting 2 weeks. I'm confused about why a medical practice thinks anyone wanting an appointment would be ok to wait 2 weeks, but there you go. Maybe they have too many patients on their books, how knows. My advice to anyone considering this medical centre, is if you are ill, look elsewhere.Notice that when people post a poor comment, they are invited to speak with the practice manager/owner/whatever. Tried that once, got nowhere.

There front desk staff are a perfect example of todays woke generation .I guess the owners have to agree with them or they would have to man the phone system themselves !

This centre feels like one big happy family.For the past 7 + years, Tony Sheringham has been our doctor & our support in some pretty testing times. (& some very happy times, as well as some very happy ones).We are all most grateful for his care of us & his patience in some troubled times.I am now writing to acknowledge the excellent diagnostic skills & nursing care of Leonie Morris.I had reason to consult Leonie recently, then a gynaecologist. The latter confirmed all that Leonie had diagnosed & agreed with all the good advice I had been given.I also wish to single out Karen Picket as another great practitioner.Karen is always available to give advice, to recommend treatment &/or seek the help of one of the health care professionals.Karen & her staff are a great asset to the centre.Finally, I wish to single out Brett, who today, very skilfully, removed a tick from my eye. Some years ago, he did a similar treatment on my grand daughter & he will forever be Dr Brett, to her!I could go on & on.Please make sure the staff & in particular, the above mentioned professionals are made aware of our gratitude & respect.Judy Love

Easy parking with accessible ramp

Neat friendly with an excellent pharmacy. They have an amazing array of caring doctors and what might possibly be the best dentist on the planet. The admin staff are always run off their feet but still find the strength to patiently deal with the most irritable customer. Highly recommended

This medical centre is at the south end of Lake Cathie, in the 50 zone. Is right next to a footpath so can ride a mobility scooter there. Has pharmacy, dentist, physio, pathology and optometry. Too easy
