Rumps Gourmet

We recently bought a bulk order for our freezer and the meat we received was of the highest quality. We have tried several other butchers in the past but after sampling what we get from Rumps we wont be going anywhere else.Their sausages are the best we have tasted for quite some time.Edit 25/09/18 ..... I gave this butcher shop a five star rating on an earlier review but have downgraded it to two stars after our recent order.I bought the same bulk pack as previously but the latest quality was far inferior. We could not eat the lamb loin chops, they were so tough. Honestly, they were the toughest I've ever tried. Our dog ended up with them.The rump steak and beef roast could best be described as ordinary. The steak had too much fat and wan't the most tender. The lamb leg roast had a large bone in it and was of such an odd cut that I had trouble carving it.I'm now looking for a new butcher's shop!

Very disappointed purchased eye fillet and pork roast thinking I was purchasing fresh, only to find once glad wrap removed meat was all vacuum packed and swimming in blood. Phoned store to hear that the reason is during peak times when they can’t cope with demands they order meat in from other suppliers. Beware what you buy from them.

Never again, save your money if you don't like meat soaked in water, it stank and was of in 2days, spent $97 and even the surf and turf was .watery. we had visitors while I was cooking and they said what's that smell.

Took my online order and then told me 2 of the 4 items I ordered were out of stock. Had already purchased all the other ingredients for these dishes for a dinner party. Shouldn't accept orders for items you don't have.

Excited to try one of the pies they have on offer.. from past experience buying pies from butchers they are much better than any deli or bakery - Decided on a Moroccan Lamb Pie - unfortunately expectations were quickly dashed.Disappointment Number 1: The pastry, on first glance it looked nice and crispy, however, once removed from the foil case you have a soft and soggy case which almost collapses as soon as you take your first bite.Disappointment Number 2: The Meat (or lack thereof), the filling consisted mainly of a sauce where they appear to have over used the cornflour and this gave it a stodgy texture and cloudy appearance. There was minimal meat, and the meat your are given is mince meat, not pieces of meat as expected.Disappointment Number 3: Flavour - the main flavour I could taste was pepper - if the label did not say Moroccan Lamb, I would have just assumed it was a cheap mince beef pie.Unfortunately, businesses just do not understand, give customers quality and they will come back again and again, give them rubbish and they will not return.If you are after a nice pie or sausage roll, try Simos Butcher in Lakelands - I think you would be much happier.Rumps use to be our go to, not anymore.

Shopped here a few times and it wasn’t the best but I thought I’d give it another chance and thats definitely it for me. Honestly was sick to my stomach after eating the chicken , I always go to butchers and been living in mandurah for years and this is by far my least favourite for many reasons. Especially when they charge so much and then I feel sick after eating there marinated meats all the time. I honestly wouldn’t suggest this butchers to anyone, my daughter has been constantly going to the toilet as well, it honestly didn’t even taste like chicken. Very disappointing and disgusting I’m sure we have food poisoning from the chicken

Almost 20 years I've been coming here, I've been around the country and have moved back to find these guys are still killing it.The fact they have carnivore diet sausages and hamburgers is fantastic.You won't find a better butcher.

An excellent butcher, great service and knowledgeable. Superb selection of meats, grass fed beef, free range chicken, gluten free burgers and sausages. Great selection of shop made burgers, sausages stir fry and much more. Thursday to Saturday they have excellent cooked pies, ribs, lasagna, cauliflower cheese and potato bake. The also have a great deli and cheese counter plus local fruit and veg. They have freezers containing WA fish and much more.

Rumps used to be our go to place for an excellent selection of quality meats, pre-made salads (such as potato salad, etc), unfortunately since the new owners have taken over, the quality of produce has taken an astronomical nose-dive. The chicken jewels (we preferred marinated) are much smaller than they used to be, the last potato salad we purchased ended up in the bin. It's a shame, as during the summer months a year ago, we would be very regular customers, spending upwards of $100.00 every time we went there. Now we would suffice with food from Coles.
