HC Catering (Hot Coals Catering)

HC Catering was a great choice for our wedding. Their tasting night was a fantastic way to sample what they had to offer, and all the staff were extremely friendly throughout the whole process. I really appreciate how they gave professional advice on catering, but also let us make decisions on how we would like the food presented on the day. Our guests all loved the food and I am extremely happy we chose HC Catering.

The Hot Coals Team were fantastic in helping us celebrate Pauline's birthday. The food was amazing, the service was awesome and the ambiance was fantastic. Pauline was a very happy lady afterwards. We would highly recommend Hot Coals to anyone who is looking for a carter for an event.

We hired the oven for a DOC Pizza catering event and found the oven worked extremely well in retaining heat. We pumped out 700 pizzas over 5.5 hours with ease. The service for delivery and pick up was very well managed and accommodating. Thanks guys. all the best

We opted for an all vegetarian canape menu for our wedding, with late night pizzas to keep everyone going until the end of the night. My husband is a pretty big foodie, and often vegetarian options are just the 'regular' option sans meat. HCC were super helpful and happily worked with my husbands requests to make a menu that included bespoke options for us. The food was simply sensational. Whilst we are veggie, 95% of our guests aren't. Despite this, everyone raved about the food. People were literally hunting the servers down for the potato and gravy balls - I'm still hearing about how good they were weeks later. Beyond this, the servers were amazing. They made sure everyone was well fed, and also ensured that my husband and I were attended to. They clearly understand the pressures on a bride and groom on their wedding day, and kept a plate aside for me when I was too busy having a good time to eat (which was gratefully scoffed as soon as we got home at the end of the night!) Super happy!

Gourmet, affordable, with huge variety! Hot Coals Catering were incredible catering for our Wedding of 85 guests at a winery in Yarra Valley. Can't thank Richard, Tamara, and the team enough. They offered a tasting night that was included with our booking and from there we were hooked. The food was always to be the main star of our reception for our guests and HC Catering executed it flawlessly. We served half a dozen different types of Wood Fire Pizzas and several types of hot and cold canapes, and hot jam donuts for dessert- and all our guests raved about the food. The servers were attentive to every guest, and everything was delicious. Also, a fraction of the price when looking at any other wedding caterer/ venue with a set menu for easily triple the food. HC offered ultimate flexibility, can not recommend highly enough for your event.

What an awesome experience having Hot Coals at our home last night for my husbands birthday. From my email enquiry only a week earlier, to them leaving at the end of service, the communication, food and hospitality was beyond reproach. We can’t wait to welcome you back again soon! Thanks heaps guys. So great to sit back and enjoy a party at home.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to Hot Coals, Richard and his team for a very successful event last Saturday 16th July for my husbands 60th birthday. The food was amazing and all guests commented on how nice it was. The team were very professional and I could not fault them from when I first enquired about their services to the end of the night when they cut the cake and served it. They also presented me with a beautiful candle athe end of the night. Would definitely use them again and would highly recommend them. No mess whatsoever, best way to have a party, well done Hot Coals.

HC Catering were absolutely magnificent. They had incredible communication from our initial interactions right up until the wedding day. We went to their tasting night and all of the food as well as the venue of the tasting was impeccable. The food and the team on the day were amazing, all our guests were full and they took extremely special care of our food allergy guests in the lead up and on the day to make sure they got to enjoy the day like everyone else. Hot Coals Catering were one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! I am still daydreaming about their Arancini balls!!Hot Coals catered our October 8 2022 wedding and right from the very start were so easy to communicate with. They were always quick to reply and so happy to amend anything that needed changing (this bride was picky!!)The food on the day was sensational. We had the roaming canapes and they were absolutely delicious. There are not many times I have been to a wedding and have had to refuse food because I am FULL! The food was plentiful and was of such a good quality. I am still getting compliments from my guests about how yummy the food was and how much of if there was.The real standout though are the staff. We had bar staff as well and every member of the Hot Coals Team should be commended for their friendliness and professionalism. I was chased down all night to make sure I had enough to eat, which was so appreciated. We highly recommend Hot Coals, the team were prompt, well presented, friendly and courteous and the food was amazing. Not to mention the cleanliness of our kitchen afterwards, even the emptying of the bins and the candle gift bag. From start to finish it was streamlined and hassle free for us and we cant be more thankful.We had so many comments on the food and service, and we will definitely use again for future events.
