Very busy as it was a public holiday. Food was good and the coffee was hot and nice. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good range of dishes at a good price point. Parking is difficult in the area so public transport might be an option.

Was around the corner and hunting for a good Cafe brekkie. These guys did not disappoint! So good, i didn't even need to use my hollandaise sauce.. cooked beautifully. Kids brekkie of $10 was huge. Good coffee!!

Amazing breakfasts and at a reasonable price. Great place to just have a quick brekkie.

had the pulled pork, it’s well presented, but taste a little but bland. Try some of my partner’s chicken burger with the chips, chips taste fine but the chicken are tasted weird, like it’s been deep fried with the calamari or some other thing. It’s pretty crunchy.Coffee taste pretty good, thanks for the nice sweet barista. And this cafe were pretty cute and relaxing.

Bland cafe that fills up because of it’s location. Calamari salad was strangely sweet but otherwise flavourless & screaming for some citrus. If you are looking for a place to eat around here you can walk in any direction & do so much better

The Fitz Cafe is a great place on Brunswick St for a casual catchup or bite. The rooftop was unfortunately closed during my visit (short staffed) so we sat outside in the shade. Staff were great and food service after ordering was really prompt. Buttermilk Chicken and Steak sandwich were both delicious. They are using QR ordering and are unfortunately requiring both mobile and email (just use dummy details) which is something they should rethink.

Attention to owner/management, the price of golden latter on the menu and your system don't match, I was charged $6 when menu said $5.. I wonder how many of the items were the same case and customers charged more than what they're informed of without checking? If the prices have increased its understandable but please update your MENU accordingly. I'd take this is an honest mistake, otherwise it's disgraceful.Side note: customers beware when paying by card will incur surcharge , I wasn't informed either.Other than that I had a good turmeric drink , something different. The atmosphere of the Cafe was warm with the fireplace. And the staff was friendly but food was slow. My friend ordered Classic BLT and it took a good 30 mins to come

If you ever need a booking for a large group I highly recommend this venue. They were so accomodating and even though we ordered lots of food for a lot of people every meal was amazing quality and servings size. The staff are also 12/10 kind and attentive!

We tried to book another place, but it was full so we had to come here.Turns out this was a good thing as the other place was kinda rubbish and this was amazing! The food was great and the coffee was great. One of the staff was dismissive and rude(maybe something going on in her life, so I left stars at 5), but the other staff were very friendly and accommodated our friends pram.

This is a retrospective review because we were just talking about our experience and remembered it all. Food good, we all enjoyed the food and coffee. But the service was absolutely terrible. Now, we were a group of 3 women. We’re all friendly and smiley. We had a young female presenting person serving us, and she was unbelievably rude.Upon walking in the cafe, we waited at the door (as you do at most establishments) and the women yelled across from the bar, “3 people?”. I mouthed, so as not to disturb the other diners, that we had a booking, and she yelled back across them “name”. I didn’t want to yell my name directly over a group eating their brunch, so when I looked shy she yelled again “under what name?!”. Thankfully another staff member saved us at that point at took us to our window table. She wouldn’t even acknowledge our orders or questions, she would just write them down and walk away. Having worked in hospo for 6 years, and now healthcare - I do understand when you are under the pump you might not present your best self. But it wasn’t busy. She gave off this complete air of “I don’t want to serve you” / “I don’t want to be here”. Such a bad attitude. We got a sense management might have been aware as when either of the two male presenting staff members delivered anything or spoke to us, they were really nice - as though they were making up for the other person. I would like to add there was another young woman doing a trial or training shift who was doing great under the circumstances. She was so friendly towards us, and if she was under the guidance of our other woman, I really hope she was ok!Honestly, we 3 were able to laugh about the whole thing amongst ourselves, but knowing we can guarantee the best service ever up the street at Marios, we are unlikely to ever return to The Fitz.
