Visited today for lunch for a special occasion. The environment looked nice overall but there were water leaking around the starters' table which does cause a bit concern to us about food safety nearby.I was extremely disappointed that we were given a table which obstruct the footpath, whenever someone need to walk pass, I have to try to move the heavy chair & squeeze myself towards the table or stand up to let other diner pass. Its so inconvenient & very uncomfortable.We didn't try much cooked food. Doesn't look too impressive. Tried Pecking duck and roasted pork, not recommend, you will get better quality in a Cantonese restaurant. The fish is good tho in my opinion. Cold food like prawn, oyster and crab are decent, I suppose you can get the same thing with a lower price tag at Mesh.Dessert probably was the highlight for the whole entire lunch for me. It's really good despite I do not have a sweet teeth.Service staffs were very attentive and nice.PS - Window seats need to reserve at least one month in advance according to the person at the entrance.

This buffet restaurant was a delightful surprise to me, from the moment I entered the inviting and lush surroundings, to the extensive array of foods on display. The waiters were polite and efficient, taking care of our needs, and the food - what can I say? - fabulous! I spent most of my visit at the seafood section where delicious cheeses, olives, capers, and so on were tastefully displayed along with plump oysters, mussels and other shellfish, smoked salmon, and the like. The freshness of the mostly local produce was exceptional. Despite the hefty price tag, I believe it worth every cent. I'll certainly be going again - the sooner the better! It was a lovely experience. I brought my 86 year old mum and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Service and food were both amazing.

Fantastic experience at Conservatory last night. The food was very high standard and service was also very friendly and helpful. Fresh seafood as well as hot food and a gorgeous selection of yummy desserts. The buffet was not overstuffed with generic mid range food, it had a fine selection of delicious foods and flavours. Would definitely recommend this to anyone and would not hesitate in returning if ever we are back in Melbourne. The service from start to finish was sublime- elegant and effortless and it never missed a beat. Every staff member was so welcoming and so charming - nothing was too much trouble. This is one of those places where you’re already planning your return visit while still in the restaurant!Highly highly recommended.

I booked the conservatory for an anniversary dinner. We opted to get the drinks package too.My glass was dirty (see photos) the staff were slow in refilling our drinks. Definitely wouldn’t recommend getting the drinks package. Have a bev prior outside of crown.There was a really good selection of cuisines, Japanese, Indian, Italian, fresh sea food and salad.The seafood tasted a bit old. I don’t know if that’s just because it was the dinner booking and they put out the left over lunch stuff?My partner ended up with terrible food poisoning that night / next morning.Sub ideal date spot since we had to flag down staff for clean glasses, more than one drink and one of us ended up with food poisoning.TLDR; incredible selection, poor quality, don’t get the drinks package

Great food, plenty of options - one of the chefs explained all the gluten free options to my daughter. Service was great - but there was one problem that left me unhappy on the night!The chairs are far too heavy to move on the carpeted area. Our table was for 9 people and we were quite close together. With chairs unable to be moved backwards - it was difficult to get in and out of our seats - which is a key factor at a buffet when people are eating at different paces.End result means I was left feeling quite disappointed in the night considering the expense of the whole evening. Customer comfort is an important part of the overall dining experience.I would go back, just not in a large group - maybe just a table of two or four!

Buffet with a stunning interior. Oysters were very fresh and quite creamy, far better than I would have expected. Dessert selection was extensive, loved every single one of those little cakes. In particular the banana toffee cake, it was soo good. The cakes were not overly sweet, thumbs up for that. Service was attentive, plates were cleared spontaneously, the lady who served us was so friendly and sweet. Would definitely visit again.

Pro: service was great. Philip was awesome. He brought a birthday dessert for my mom for her birthday. Good ambiance and atmosphere. Food wise Cha Siew was extremely good, other than that nothing special.Con: Booked a window seat for my mom's birthday, but not available. A little disappointed.The oyster is not too great. 70% of them were nice and fresh but the rest of them had a foul taste. maybe that was the batch on that day, but I hope they can improve than that. I highlighted this issue to the manager. They politely talked to me about that but no further action was taken.Overall a pleasant experience but can be improved.
