The Larwill Studio Melbourne - Art Series

room was clean and location was great. my room on level 1 adjoined a 24 hour gym. Constant music and loud dropping of weights could be heard even with ear plugs. very disappointing.

I booked a room at this hotel out of convenience as my child had an appointment at the royal children’s. Such a great convenient location. But that’s about the only positive thing I have to say on this occasion. The hotel like many doesn’t use doona covers, just a doona between 2 sheets. The doona we not so luckily landed had a patch of dried blood on it right near our heads. Which would have been very obvious to housekeeping staff when they made up the bed.I then paid for parking through the hotel which is slightly cheaper than the RCH day rate. However when I went to swipe us out of the car park the pass wouldn’t work so I had to pay again and pay the higher price. The hotel then only refunded me their portion so it ended up costing me more.Then low and behold, after travelling home 2 and half hours by myself with 3 very small children (not for the faint hearted) I open my emails with a notification that I’ve been charged for 2 mini bar beverages that we never had!!!! No description on the invoice of what they were either. We didn’t have anything from the mini bar, in fact I was on the kids cases about not touching the mini bar and thankfully they we very obliging and didn’t. If the housekeeping staff don’t have great attention to detail with the simple task of bedding, then I have zero doubt in their capabilities of managing a mini bar.I found majority of the staff we came across were not very warm, happy or welcoming and just seemed to be doing the bare minimum when it comes to customer service and hosting.What was meant to be a stay to make our time at the RCH and away from home just the bit less stressful, has now added to the stress of the day.I am so very upset about it all and wish I never stayed at the Larwill :(

Perfect location for Royal children's Hospital appointment. Coming from in operating successful motels, some staff members need more training in my opinion. No one particularly stood out from reception to name except an excellent service from Tyler from The Farmacy cafe.

Early appointment at Royal children's Hospital so decided to stay here. Onsite at hospital. Great room. Microwave kettle and coffee pod machine. Brilliant

Enjoyed my weekend stay away. Rooms are quiet and comfy.Quilt had a stain, and the bathroom glass cups were dirty. Other room amenities were fineService at the front desk was generally pretty good. We left this morning, and the person at the desk looked like they couldn't be bothered there- no smile, one hand in pocket the whole time including when they were grabbing the parking key, didn't say much apart from if it was ok to deduct the parking from my card and if we had used the parking key before.Would probably stay here again :)

We've been staying at the Larwillsince 9/3/23, as we've travelledfrom Hobart as my husband had togo to Peter Mac to remove the cancer.I've been here on my own since10/2/23 until 24/3/23 as my husband wasrecovering. They have shown mecompassion, loyal and moreChecked on me everyday as iampregnant, very helpful with theservices or anything I needed. Yes itwas brisk walk to Peter Mac andwhatever else I needed. I caught atram or a taxi.Beautiful view out my windowLoved the surprise they done for me20/3 as it was mybirthday. I love fruit. Hopefully wewill be back one day.

Was a nice place to stay great for when you have kids in the hospital, 3 stars as was woken early on different occasions with PA announcements and early phone calls from reception asking if we called them and house keeping seemed to always miss the room when you put up the door hanger to get it made up, at one point they just stared at me and still just left when waiving at them. Room was a park veiw double which must have originally been for a king as the clock and power points were behind the pillows.

We stayed there recently, close proximity to RCH is why we selected the location. On original booking we were told continental breakfast available at Larwill. Unfortunately when we arrived restaurant was closed and we found the breakfast menu to be limited and over priced. Nearly $60 for two adults with a coffee / hot chocolate. For the money we found the breakfast to below par (Farmacy). Better quality and value for money elsewhere.Front counter staff polite, friendly and helpful. Rooms we have 2 yr old twins, so we had to child proof them ( even though its main cliental would be visiting RCH). We have travelled a fair bit, and it is normal to have complimentary water available in the rooms. Rooms are pretty good, great location, think a little more can be done to enhance to experience of staying.

Such friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were very comfortable- my stay was for a week for work purposes and was easy to relax in the evening. Having current mobility issues the staff went that extra mile to be helpful.

Note exactly a travelers hotel. Located next to the children's hospital. Seems to cater to patients and parents. No complaints as the rooms are nice/clean and staff is friendly.
