Profound Homes

We had a great experience building our new house with Profound Homes. As our land was a sloping block we required a custom builder and had not been able to find the right one until we were referred by a friend to Kade and his team. He was upfront about what would be required to build what we showed him on our architectural drawings, and gave us what we thought was a reasonable quote with plenty of inclusions. We were advised that it would take about 10 months to build the house and it was completed within this timeframe. Whenever any issues came up or we had any concerns Kade took them seriously and was quick to address them. Once the house had been built all our friends that visited remarked on how beautiful and well designed the house was. We would highly recommend anyone looking for a custom builder to look no further than Profound Homes.

The only thing Profound about this company is their Profound dishonesty and attempts to cheat the customer.My architect referred me to Profound, and much against my better judgement, I thought I would give them a go.We shortlisted Profound and 4 other builders for a tender response. Each builder was given the full planning and engineering drawings and documentation and asked to provide a quote within a fair but set timeframe. Profound provided a slightly cheaper quote than the other builders. Based on the architect recommendation, we said no to all the other builders and accepted the Profound quote from Kade.We immediately asked Kade to provide a detailed contract that we can take to the bank. This is when he started delaying continuously. He wanted the funding and the site to be completely ready so that he can start the build as soon as the contract was signed. He said that reducing the gap between contract sign date and start date will reduce the price variation risk. This seemed fair, so we gave notice to the tenant, organised demolition and got all the bank funding pre-approvals ready.Still no contract inspite of many discussions with Kade. One week before the agreed start date, Kade suddenly produces a revised ‘verbal’ quote which is now $300,000 higher. A massive jump which makes his quote the worst of all the other builders. He is also completely rude when giving this shocking figure and claims that the architect has not given him all the detailed drawings. This is not true because the architect sent the exact same specifications to all the builders and there were no changes. He could not explain the $300,000+ increase and made some pathetic comment about how the cupboards and caroma sink we had chosen were higher than the very low quality rubbish he uses. A builder who manipulates the quoting process and then leaves the client high and dry is very dangerous. This shows that Profound is dishonest and are seeking to cheat the client right from the start. Even with the unexplained $300,000 increase, he is saying that there could be further increases and he can’t guarantee any kind of completion time. Not 12 months. Not 15 months. Could be anything. This is for a dual occupancy build of just 2 townhouses.Also, Kade and Profound have no idea about even very basic quality. He was struggling to work out how to manage the edging between tile and timber flooring. This is something any decent builder can do in their sleep. Maybe Kade is used to building sheds in the outback.Now I’m back to square one and have to go out to a completely separate group of builders. I have lost at least 6 months of time right at the start, and lost a huge amount of money because of this thief. The architect who recommended Profound is highly embarrassed and said he can no longer recommend this useless company. Keep away from Kade and Profound Homes. The only thing Profound about this company is their Profound dishonesty and attempts to cheat the customer.

Profound Homes is fraud, KD Alimi is a Liar, He says something else and does something else. I have every proof of what he has done to my newly built house. Council , Building INSPECTER and DBDRV, VCAT has lots of complaint against him. Please contact me I will explain everything what he do with people houses who has less knowledge about construction.Very unprofessional and absolutely disgusting service from Profound Homes. He took 36 months to complete my house with more than 50 defects.More than happy to share my experience with anyone who wants. Please please think 10 times before singing any building contract with KD Alimi / Profound Homes.

We had a great experience with Kade, from the planning right through to handover. He is a very knowledgeable person, always available to answer any queries we had. He took every concern seriously and handled all issues promptly, no matter how small or how big. We would highly recommend Profound Homes to anyone looking to build a dream home. We continuously receive compliments on our home, and we are thankful to Profound Homes for their great work.

Fantastic job done by Profound Homes. Even after handover, the service and support are amazing. Kade was very approachable and flexible throughout planning. Even though we had a very complicated site, he managed it all successfully. Would highly recommend to anyone!

Profound homes was fabulous, Excellent custom builder to choose if your building your dream home, building can be stressful, we went to so many builders and they all had their own selection criteria, we provided the details of how we wanted our home to be and profound homes was the only builder who accepted our design, customers service was great, we were always in contact, staff were always approachable, We just love the outcome, we received so many compliments and would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a builder!
