Great place for a bite, chips are deliciously crunchy with my favourite chicken salt. Chicken is flavourful and juicy, whilst the salad was light and fresh. I can definitely recommend Georges on Argyle for great bite to eat.Plus my bird Rocket had a great time there too :D

I just bought a whole chicken and chips from this shop for take away. I am only 4 minutes away. The chicken was luke warm and the chips were so over salted we couldn’t eat either. I called the shop to let them know and he did not apologise and immediately told me the chicken would be cold from the drive in the car. I explained it was only 4 minutes drive and also about the chips couldn’t be eaten due to over salting and I’d spent $26.00. I received no apology and he said I could come back and get another chicken but was quite rude. I said I couldn’t come back but just wanted to give the feedback. He snapped okay got it and hung up in my ear. This was so disappointing as the family I was visiting was so looking forward to the chicken dinner as their mum just got out of hospital. What a horrible person. Just an apology would have been appreciated. Terrible business would never buy again. Don’t give them your money anyone.* Response to owners response to my feedback * - now that you are lying on top of this and saying I have an agenda makes this even worse. The chicken was Luke warm the chips were caked in salt what nobody could eat them. All I wanted was an apology when I called as I didn’t want anyone else getting a luke warm chicken and chips they couldn’t eat. On top of hanging up on me and being so rude you still make it worse with your response now. I have no reason to have any kind of agenda but clearly you do. I was talking to a local on Sunday telling them of my experience and they said someone in your shop had been very rude to them also. I cannot believe you are still standing by this. I spent the $26 I had to throw the meal in the bin and we ate sandwiches for dinner. Anyway I’m done with this and your business now. You will not last if you continue to treat customers this way. Shame on you Mr.

Absolutely beautiful food. Very good and friendly costumer service. Eaten inside many times. Delivery is fantastic! They keep their distance when you order delivery when sick. I’d give 10 stars if I could.

Realistically 1-2.5 star rating take-away.Been ordering delivery for months. 80% of the time delivery orders are incorrect and food arrives cold, lukewarm at best.Staff are argumentative and 9 out of 10 times will not contact you before delivering incorrect replacement items.Other negative reviews have been removed since last checked, which is concerning.* Response to owners response to my feedback *You must be proud of your ability to write one of the worst responses to a review, while also deleting negative reviews from your page. Instead of admitting to your repeated mistakes, you're trying to deflect blame onto me and cover up your shortcomings. It's truly pathetic.Your claim that you always deliver food on time and check each order is a complete joke, and it seems my friends and family have experienced similar issues with your establishment. Furthermore, your rudeness to customers only adds to the long list of reasons why people should avoid your restaurant like the plague.It's no surprise that you have to resort to deleting negative reviews to try and save face, but trust me when I say that word of your incompetence will continue to spread. Do yourself a favor and take responsibility for your actions, and actually make an effort to improve your terrible service.

Food is always fresh and served quickly. Best salads available. Best bacon and egg rolls anywhere. Great customer service. Friendly staff. Fantastic shop. Best chickens available anywhere - always tender and juicy.Thank you Kath, Michael and staff.

We grabbed some Take away from Georges on the weekend and the food was amazing. While we were waiting we could see the other meals coming out and had food envy on all of them.I will highly recommend Georges to anyone as the staff are extremely friendly and professional also.

mind you i’ve been coming here for 5 years- The Georges on Argyle is a horrible establishment. Horrible owners. The younger staff are lovely tho given some may be their first jobs. I have seen dead insects on the floor scattered around. Have seen alive baby snails in the parsley on my wraps. The food is always cold when u arrive to pick it up or have it delivered. The owners Michael and Kathy will gaslight you into thinking you are wrong all the time. Kathy will peer pressure you into buying day-old food in a box for $10. There have been many times when I’ve seen Kathy scream at the young workers who have done nothing wrong in the quiet hours. I've seen workers work an hour to two hours after close crying and workers on break complaining about going back in. No one loves to work but they shouldn't have to be upset. I've also gotten food poisoning multiple times. Possibly from the meat they prepare with no gloves. I've never seen the owners wash their hands once. Kathy has been argumentative with me every time I come in. Do not come here. They've been getting worst with customer service by the year.

Ordered a whole chicken, chips, 2 salads and fruit salad.Food was AMAZING... the chicken was so so good! Juicy and tender.Ordered home delivery and it arrived before the eta and the chips were still hot!I will definitely be ordering again :)

Excellent food, burgers, chips, chicken, everything you need. Amazing staff. You can eat in or takeawy. There is a car wash on this premises as well and a Bathroom,. I recommend

Nothing but good words for George’s. The staff is phenomenal, they’re so friendly and caring every time we order. The culture of the restaurant is lovely, everyone is always up for a chat. We use both delivery and pick up options and it has gone smoothly all times. If a mistake is ever made, they apologise and go above and beyond to fix it. The food itself is the best part, it’s so delicious. From the burgers to the wraps and the chicken, I would recommend all.
