Don’t use Origin. I had to pay a deposit when I started using them for my business. When I sold, it took seven months before they conceded that I had indeed paid, refused to refund but did transfer it to another business account. However, they changed the business account so the refund has gone to the wrong account. Fourteen months now and I’m still waiting for it to be transferred to the right account.

Feed in from our solar system is double our consumption (amazing)!! This huge feed in covers only ⅓ of the consumption charges (also amazing, but for the wrong reason). Pitiful tariffs. Update: had to lower my rating by 1 star after recent power increases.

Do not be fooled by their Everyday Rewards promotions - they will not honour them.I changed to Origin Energy 1 year ago to receive their bonus points promotion even though competitors had better plans on offer. I met all their fine print criteria, yet they still have not honoured the points that they were meant to honour in the first few weeks.You will only get points each time you pay their bills (so you know your account is linked) but you will not get the “20,000 bonus points” and they will stop responding to your emails.I’ve given them the benefit of the doubt, but my contract is almost up and this has still not been acknowledged.

Origin has been my energy supplier for many years. The customer service is fantastic, the staff and company have always been courteous and respectful of whatever my circumstances have been. During financial hardship they did there best to accommodate me personally with my energy needs, versus my income. Origin has proved to be unbelievably fare, and accommodating regardless of whatever life throws at me.Thank you Origin and it's staff!Oh, and the app is great. Easy to operate, understand, and use.And I love that Origin gives you an incentive to decrease your energy consumption, through the Spike program, and be rewarded for the energy you save. Awesome for the environment also!Go Origin!!!

Excellent customer service and installation for the Solar 6.65kW system. The customer service staff and technicians and the building inspector were very informative during the whole process. Recommend Origin Energy to all for any Solar Installations.

Do not even make an enquiry with them about getting them for your home Electricity Because if they are unable to do so because you live in an apartment building they will report you and put a mark against your name to illion. Pathetic company I'd advise everyone to not even attempt to get them as a provider.

The Origin App which was showing the value of our solar inputs stopped working 9 months ago.There are women celebrating Mothers Day today who weren’t even pregnant when you were notified,I guess at least they are seeing results ….

This company is a disaster from the maribyrnong river VIC to the nerang river QLD. Not just me but heaps of friends. Disconnection disservice; they take no responsibility for the service offers. No problem, though. Get the money out of the account.

Do not have solar installed through this company. They take the side of their installers over the customer if your roof is damaged during installation. No effort is given to find all the facts of what occured during installation.

1.5 years ago, while QLD was locked down for Covid, I got stuck in NSW with my newborn for 4 months. So I reached out to all my billers and asked them to send me the invoice amounts so I could pay them. Origin Energy was the only one that refused to do that because my husband was the account holder. They requested my husband to call them. My husband was working in Taiwan at the time. Back then I put that down as not having adapted to pandemic issues. Now they sent us a letter requesting to contact them to let them know whether it’s safe to access our meter because last time they tried our dog was present and the employee didn’t want to risk and enter. Fair enough, I sent them an email with account number, address and DOB and informed them that our dog won’t be outside anymore and the employee will be safe and free to access the reader… They replied that they can’t accept this as I was not the account holder………..So I ended up going through the process of getting registered at an actual account holder to be able to tell Origin that our dog won’t be out at the meter when the reader guy will come to read the meter… Today I had a notification card in my mailbox saying ‘We couldn’t access the meter - dog was unrestrained on premises/ could not confirm dog was restrained.GUESS WHAT, our dog had a seizure last night and is under observation at the vets.I’m so over this.
