Novotel Melbourne South Wharf

My boyfriend booked a room here 2 hours before arriving. Had excellent customer service over the phone with booking a room. And answered any question we had. When we arrived at reception we were welcomed straight away. Stunning place good views and will come again. Rooms were perfect and just what we wanted. We booked this due to having a wedding just across the road which was good access to places. And was really happy we got a booking. I love this place. But I feel like the only thing I found annoying was catching 2 elevators to get to reception and to the room but all well it’s a really nice place to go

The housekeeping and check in service was top class. Our room was well appointed. Bed was comfy, and the pillow menu made sleep easy. Instant hot water and quality towels provided and the buffet breakfast was a great way to start the morning. Definitely worth a repeat stay.

Bed and linen great. More room and those pillows are absolute heaven. However, we paid premium price given there was a lot of activity on etc. For that price I expected at the very least that is a Vanity kit with a razor blade, toothpaste, etc. Or even a pair of slippers would’ve been nice at that price point. A little bit lacking on the things that take it to the next level like complimentary items.

I cannot say enough kind things about the overwhelmingly supportive and helpful staff. Whether it's arranging taxis or lending an umbrella, the staff are some of the most approachable, kind, and excellent individuals I have ever interacted with.The location is excellent, with dozens of food options within a five minute's walk and the train station within stumbling distance.Rooms are clean and well kept, though a little dated in several features, which was surprising given how lovely the lobby is and how popular the hotel seems to be.Anyone visiting Sydney that wants a taste of the real city should look no further than this hotel. Your experience will be excellent across every axis.

Air conditioning not working so couldn't heat room. Enquired Twice but no fix, got some extra blankets as we were freezing. Great location but room and service let that down a bit.

The hotel is in an excellent location. Easily walking distance to many attractions. And there is a taxi rank right outside the door.The hotel staff were very helpful polite and friendly.The hotel room (we had the one bedroom suite) was very Clean, quiet and comfy.The only bad experience we had (which is the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5) was the quality of the in room food service. We ordered it twice, the first time the chicken in the chicken burger was raw and the second time the fish and chips were cold.So to some it up, I would stay there again, I just wouldn't eat there.

Very nice views, rooms were quiet considering the hwy below, the beds were extremely comfortable and nice soft pillows however did expect the room to have at least a double coach, especially as it was a room for 2 adults to 2 kids. The bathroom was spacious and the shower very large. We had the buffet breakfast this was superb really enjoyed the variety of food delicious. DFO was only a hop skip and jump away, that was excellent. Would definitely go back

Stayed here for a recent work trip and was pleased with overall experience. Busy as Formula 1 was starting later in the week.Check in / out process was simple and well organised.Room was generous size with nice layout. Soft mattress and great pillow selection to suit fussiest sleeper. Good size TV and audio to help remove external noise.Depending on room allocation, great views of South Warf and city scape.Didn't experience any additional services such as meals or fitness centre so cannot comment.Doors to hotel rooms are very loud - would benefit from looking at certain rooms as heavy doors generate problems for customers struggling to open/close in addition to the noise they generate at inappropriate hours are disruptive.

Great hotel overall - good location, very close to shops etc, rooms are spacious and bathrooms clean and tidy. The best part however was definitely the view (especially at sunset) it is SO beautiful! The only negative would be that you have to take 2 seperate lifts to go to your room, and while we were there they had some minor issues with the lifts but overall would definitely recommend this hotel!

What a great place to stay. Stayed here recently for over a week with family and the experience was great. The customer interaction all the way from the concierge on the ground floor to the check in staff on the fifth floor and was extremely pleasant. The staff were very professional in their conduct, attentive and very pleasant to deal with and nothing seemed too difficult. Great location, great service and we will certainly be back. Keep it up team.
