Melbourne Pathology North Fitzroy

Thank you so much for all the wonderful helpful staff this morning 10 September 2022. I was able to walk down the road and figure out what to do.I needed a fasting blood test. I have very difficult veins. I had one nurse start then an experienced nurse finish.I had not been to the pathology for so long that I had remembered the time when the access was via the garden gate. It was very confusing but I was supported all the way there and back.You really do offer an amazing service thank you very much.Your supportive COVID protocols are brilliant as well.

Reception was not friendly at all and they made me sanitise my hands which came off as very offensive. That would have been fine if they had been helpful with my blood test. I don't have medicare and I only have private insurance and the pathologist was not helpful in that regard. Ended up going to the one in Doncaster and they did it for me for free.

Before I went in to get my bloods taken today, I received some sad news. The pathologist could tell I was quite upset, and made me feel very welcomed and comforted. Thank you Carla x

I have very uncooperative veins, always have trouble getting blood taken and this was the second place I'd gone to that day (the first was unsuccessful). Huge shout out to Kylie, who was an absolute rockstar and worked some magic to get the samples. Greatly appreciated!

These ladies have always been extremely friendly & capable every time I’ve gone. The pathology is attached to the doctors, so enter through the Northside clinic door and turn left past reception.Northside specialists in LGBTQI health and so the pathologists are very queer & trans friendly.

Professional, and experienced pathology clinic. Have had difficulty giving blood in the past and this was a painless and straight forward experience.

Arrived at 5.25pm, pathologist had already packed up and was leaving the building. Please change your opening hours if you shut early.

Glucose tolerance test - fantastic, blood drawn 3 times and no pain or bruising at all!

Unfortunately, I could not get past the lady at Reception who would not let me into the Northside Clinic at all, and shooed me away with aggressive 'STOP' hand gestures, standing up from behind her desk as I was waiting for her to buzz the door open. The clinic was still open for another 40 minutes. I am struggling to find time to get an essential blood test because I can't bring my sick daughter with me during the day. I called on my way to check availability but my call was not answered. It seems this pathology clinic is actually very good from the other reviews. I'm sorry to leave this review which is more reflective of the reception staff at the actual clinic than the pathology department. Unfortunately it seems that reviews for the clinic itself go unanswered and the complaint process involves printing a form and handing it to reception staff! I was turned away at a time where I am worried, frightened and unwell. It's unacceptable. I'm hoping this is one way to communicate this message.
