Newtown Furniture Haven
After viewing a large number of couches at larger chain stores and being underwhelmed I chanced across the Newtown Furniture Haven while on a walk in Newtown and noticed their custom couches. 18 months later I could not be happier, they built me couch with customised fabric and a sofa bed for half the price of the chain stores. The quality is excellent and the couch super comfortable. Would buy again and recommend to others, also good to support an independent local business.

I've owned a tv unit and bookshelf I bought from this store probably... 13-15 years ago, and both are still going strong. My mate's also got a bookshelf from here that he bought before mine, and that's only shown very slight wear over the years.Couldn't recommend them enough if you're looking for great furniture that'll hold up over time.

After spending the morning looking at huge second hand furniture warehouses and finding nothing, we visited this place and found everything we needed and more!The owner Michael was kind and welcoming and offered delivery of 4 pieces including a leather couch, TV cabinet, a table and a console right up a staircase right into my apartment (up a staircase) within a week of purchasing.If you are looking for a piece of furniture I highly recommend browsing here!

This place is a great find full of beautiful items. Michael was so helpful and passionate in helping us choose our table and sideboard, gave us a packaged deal and delivered it within the week, even in that tricky first week of January! Highly recommend wandering through the aisles, never know what you might find. I'll definitely be back

Bought a table in January. It was damaged when I collected it. Promised a replacement. Still chasing them in April. Replacement was eventually delivered - damaged! It's now October and still waiting for a refund. If you choose to buy from them be prepared for a complete run around.

Although the wood on my cupboard from here is lovely, all of the fittings have quickly broken (drawer runners, the clasps that hold the doors closed, the hinges, the handles). I did talk with them about replacing the handles and they did, to their credit, but it took a while so for other items I will fix myself. The wood is lovely though.

Walked in today as I had been let down by another furniture place who bundled up my wardrobe order, the owner was lovely and helpful, the wardrobe I was looking for was there and will be custom made to my specificiations. Quality wardrobe and at half the price I paid at the other place. thank you so much, I am looking forward to receiving the wardrobe. I will be going back to buy more furniture there!!!

Great selection of furniture, although more on the rustic side. Prices are ok and you might get a good deal.But beware of ordering anything custom-made. Make sure to get every detail in writing and then be prepared to chase the owners for months on end until you get something remotely resembling what you've ordered in the first place. This place seems disorganised, communication with customers is poor - if I didn't check in every week asking for updates, I'd still be waiting on my delivery.
