These classes provide children with an opportunity to learn how to defend themselves, gain discipline, keep fit and build their confidence. Classes are taught in a fun environment under a knowledgeable and caring instructor.I recommend to anyone that is interested to come down and try the class.

Having studied various martial arts in the past ( Karate , Muay Thai, Jiu-jitsu and Bujinkan ) After a 4 year break and moving towns I stumbledAcross Shinken dojo . Having trialled and error a few different schools on my return to the martial arts Deans way of teaching is effective and practical . Friendly vibe and no BS.Would recommend for anyone looking at learning practical self defence in a non judgmental family friendly environment.kids classes available to.

I’ve trained at this dojo for a number of years and will continue to train here for years to come. A range of traditional and more practical techniques are taught in a manner which is suitable for all abilities. The environment is supportive and family-oriented, with the school running both kids and adults classes. Training here has given me the confidence to be able to walk home at nighttime and more than anything it has allowed me to become part of a community of wonderful people. I highly recommend this dojo to all.

Highly recommend it. I tried a few different schools/styles before settling on Shinken dojos. The training combines both traditional and modern training, resulting in an extremely well rounded curriculum. This provides a truly holistic understanding of the art I was unable to find at other schools. The delivery of the training is provided in a truly safe, enjoyable style, whilst still providing the knowledge to deal with any situation one may encounter on today's increasingly unsafe streets. Five out of five stars!

I have been going to Bujinkan Shinken Dojo on and off for about four years. Having done five different martial arts previous to this one, I have to say Bujinkan Shinken has been the most enjoyable, diverse (in technical styles) and friendly martial arts place I have been to. Lots of different teaching methods and schools that are useful to everyday life situations. While hoping I'll never have to use them, it's generally really fun and great knowledge to have. Most of all, just a lovely bunch of people who has have the passion to share this beautiful and fun art.

A friendly and safe space where kids are learning great skills for life; I have seen a great improvement in my son self defence skills but also confidence, self-esteem and communication. All the Sensei teach and play with care and attention to each individual child needs; there is an overall feeling of been part of a family that is so rare to find! Thank you Sensei!

Have loved training here as has my son since he was 5. The kids classes are a nice balance of training and games to not only teach the kids how to defend themselves but also keep them from getting bored. The adults class is a nice blend of tradition and modern elements and the atmosphere is fun while still making sure the techniques are learnt correctly and effectively

The kids love it.The dog loves it because of the dog park near by.And I get a coffee and a 1 hour show every Saturday morning.Life is great for this dad, Sensei Dean!

Fantastic family orientated dojo! Our son has been training with Dean for several years now and loves attending the weekly session. Dean is an excellent instructor who makes learning lots of fun. Highly recommend this dojo!!!
