Stork Air Conditioning

These guys are the best! I have now 5 air conditioners from them. Each time they have been professional and cleaned up after themselves. They've had a great price as well. Highly recommended.

In June 2018, I paid $550 for installation of a split system Panasonic AC I'd purchased as replacement in a bedroom (Pic 3). I've used Stork before, and was happy to pay a premium price for good installation.However this time the guy who turned up seemed half hearted about it. I had specified I wanted it on a stand on the ground, which wasn't brought with them, and had to get them back to fix, but otherwise it was an adequate installation.However, recently the unit developed a sensor issue, requiring warranty repair. I called Panasonic, who sent out another service company to do the work. On opening the outdoor unit wiring cover, the guy did a double take and immediately pointed out that the wiring used to link the unit to the main power was not up to spec, and was either extension lead cable or lighting pendant cable. I checked it out myself, and sure enough he was spot on...1mm 3 core thin cable (Pic 1 and 2). Luckily, having rarely used the unit for heating, it hadn't burnt out the unit, or caught on fire. Whether it caused the fault now experienced is hard to determine.Still I double checked the information via Panasonic, looking up the specs and manuals of the specific unit, and again, the information clearly spelt out in the installation manual stated a MINIMUM 1.5mm 3 core cable was to be used (Pic 4). Nor was it wired back to the switchboard, but just added to the double GPO through the external wall into the bedroom. Even the conduit used to cover it was short, leaving the cable exposed where it entered the unit.I paid $550 for this job. It wasn't even a full install, given all the holes were already in place. All they had to do was replace the indoor/outdoor units, rewire as per spec, and gas it up.So, no, I won't be recommending them at all. Guys, when you read this, have a good look at who you employ to work for you. This is NOT acceptable! It could have caught fire during use, or burnt out the unit. So, no...not happy at all.(And BTW I have kept the cable you installed as proof should you feel I have left an unfair review. I've now had it replaced by a professional electrician, who knows what he's doing, at extra expense again. So, I wouldn't make a fuss on this, unless you want it referred further. Instead, do the job you're paid for properly in the future.)

Had Ricky and his offsider, Isaac remove my old split system and replace with new. They were there on time, very friendly and professional. Did the job, cleaned up and were away in just over an hour. Will use them again. Oh, and Ricky pointed out we had overpaid as they could use some of the previous pipe and wiring. Sent refund through that day as promised.

Ricky and his team were very professional, experienced, and genuine. They came to my home and did an assessment, provided recommendations and honest installation quotes. He did the job perfectly and promptly with no mess. It was so neat and I was very impressed. Thank you so much for installing my split system on a very hot summer's day. I am very happy with your service and company.
