Busy Bees at Maroubra
My daughter (aged 2) has been attending Bliss Early Learning Maroubra for almost a year now and she loves it with all her heart. Every time I come to pick her up she never wants to leave the centre. The staff are all extremely polite and are excellent at helping my daughter succeed her potty training phase. Food and catering at this daycare is so amazing and also healthy with a good variety. The security is splendid as you need a code to get in and there are multiple doors to get into each department. The area is also extremely convenient. There’s a shopping centre down the road and a chemist right next door!I highly recommend this daycare and am beyond satisfied with the care they provide for my daughter.

Bad experience! Not reliable!I had booked for a tour 2 days in advance. Today I went to the centre as scheduled, after rang the doorbell the staff have asked me to reschedule for another day. They didn’t inform me that they cannot do the tour today at all. I can’t put my baby in that kind of unreasonable center definitely.Waste of my time.

Worse first experience. Turned off childcare providers because of this situation.First time mum here - yes I was nervous to put my 6 month old into day care, however with running my own business and due to the struggle of covid that us small businesses have experience, I had no choice. After finding Busy Bees, my first impression was trusting. They were lovely, personable and the facility looked great! However what caused the backfire in experience was my intro session where I took my boy for two 1 hour sessions just to get use to it. Here is what happened;1. Children were sick, coughing all over the place and had snotty noses. I had been warned about children getting sick - but not that they would stay at day care... why are they not sending them home? 4 day after this, my baby boy got sick - to the point he was rushed to hospital as the virus took over his lung. He stopped breathing and we had to spend a few nights in hospital. He is still not better. I told Sarah of the situation and to delay my start date - she replied that she could hold my spot longer than a week. I also will note that a child was eating another boys shoe... very worrying that they didn't take it out of the child's mouth?2. Furthermore, my subsidy was still in pending. Sarah warned me that a lot of money was going to come home due to this not happening. I told her I didn't want to be charged and rather start later, as financially I can't wait for a reimbursement - this is what the subsidy is for... to relieve financial struggles. She acknowledge and advised that ALL parents do this... Despite this communication - they charged me almost 1k in one transaction and I had not even confirmed my start date, and said I rather waited. I acknowledge that they can't hold the spot.. but this daycare is not full.......forums say they have availability and also.. there is only like 8-9 kids in the nursery...3. My next worry which I did not mention until further investigation as my mother is a childcare teacher is ratio. There is an outside area and an inside area. Somehow they felt it was acceptable to have 8-9 kids outside with 1 educator (which was the manager of the facility) and then another inside doing admin and nappy changes... the rule is that you have to have 1:4 ratio and they must be outside... especially as they are 0-2 year olds...???I will not be sending my child here. I hope to receive my refund of 1k asap

This is our daughter’s second daycare as we moved house so it’s good being able to compare. The first thing you’ll notice is how calm and ordered the place is. It’s never chaotic at pick up and collection as all the babies are settled. The staff are experienced and consistent in the nursery room - no absences or turnover. They quickly knew her little personality traits and personalised her routine if she was having an off day. They’re also very procedural so everything is by the book. It’s great value for money as they’re still painting and doing activities. You’ll have no regrets.

We love this daycare for our 6 months old :) Our baby is well cared for, with a lot of fun and stimulating activities, and we can see she loves it there! Also the staff turnover seems to be lower than at other daycares and the staff is really great. The centre's manager, Sarah, is very thoughtful and always takes time to answer our questions and requests. The centre is well located and has an underground parking which is a plus during these La Nina events ;) thanks for taking good care of our baby girl!

We have been using Busy Bees Maroubra for about 2 years now and it's been a great experience. The staff are excellent and our children love going each day. It appears the 1 star reviews are from people with their nose out of joint over minor inconveniences. The subsidy system as a whole has its flaws however this is not a problem caused by Busy Bees staff (who also have to navigate the finicky system).

My first impressions of busy bees was really good. They seemed very friendly and understanding. I am a single mother who doesn't get child support. I am a bit short of funds as i had just found us a home and bond and 2 weeks had drained my bank account. I had contacted head office to see if there was a way to set up a payment plan as they require 2 weeks bond and 1 week ahead. At that point as far as i was aware, they were looking into that for me. This is when i received a passive aggressive call from the manager Sarah as Busy Bees Maroubra. Asking why i couldn't pay the upfront costs. The moment she said were NOT a not for profit you know" i knew that it was only about the money there and they were not good enough to watch my boy.I was not asking for free care or to pay less

I am surprised at some of the 1 star reviews and had to write my own review. My son started at this childcare when he was three months old. He was the youngest baby they had at that time and the staff was so professional and attentive. He had reflux issue and the staff consistently thought of ways in feeding him milk so that the milk would settle and they would share the methods they tried so that we won't have issues when baby is at home. The staff are so loving and treat him like their own. He had a lot of milestones at the childcare. They helped him with tummy time, sitting, crawling, walking and talking. My son is now in the toddler room (2-3) and his manners are amazing. He always say please"

Would not recommend this childcare ! The staff are far from professional and do not honour the basic principals of confidentiality & privacy. The staff are constantly on their phones especially staff member Reeyazna. The children are left unattended while they are supposed to be under the care of these so called educators.Absolutely disgusting centre with no morals or standards! Fancy picking up your hungry child from childcare with a dirty nappy only to find out staff members have been too busy chit chatting on their phones. Shame on you.
