Great place to visit , original homestead. Can even book a room to sleep in. Great coffee and scones

Great place. Don't go past.

The food was delicious but a bit pricey, buffet for Mother's Day

Real find of a well renovated and presented historic site. Tea and scones are available, and some other foods as well..water cool drinks.

Do yourself a favour and go have a look..it's worth it, the morning tea is really good.

Western Australia's best kept secret! We were looking for accommodation while in the wheatbelt to do some astrophotography, in particular the Milky Way over Lake Ninan.With only three rooms available to the public on weekends, we had the magnificent homestead and outbuildings to ourselves, a group of two couples. The welcome from Wendy and the continental breakfast she provided were first class and the whole experience is testament to the hard work by her and other volunteers.The warm and comfy accommodation is full of artifacts from the 1800s and doubles as a museum display when there's noone booked to stay, so it is a true old world experience. In keeping with this theme, there's no internet service and the bathrooms are in another building about 100m away. Neither of these factors bothered us but in fairness means that 4/5 is the maximum possible score.I suggest the experience is best suited to adults with a sense of history that enjoy doing something different. We certainly hope to return sometime.

Had a stall at the recent Goomalling Markets held at Slater Homestead. Beautiful setting. Well worth a visit.

A lovely surprise! This homestead has been lovingly restored and maintained. A great place to visit, and stay overnight. Also has a beautiful function centre in the original barn. Open weekends too.
