Ngilgi Cave
There are many caves in the Margaret River area, ranging from this one just outside of Dunsborogh to Augusta, an hour's drive to the south, but if you're staying in the Busselton, Dunsborough, or Yallingup area, the Ngilgi Cave is the closest and unquestionably of a worth a visit This experience is not recommended for those who are weak of heart, claustrophobic, young, or have any kind of physical disability. Nevertheless, despite having two artificial hips, I was still able to descend all the way to the very bottom of the cave which is about as deep as a 12-story building—and back again. However, the ascent would have been much harder without the numerous benches to rest on. Additionally, be ready for the heat." The temperature inside the cave stays at 19 degrees

An interesting limestone cave which was opened in 1900. This cave is a semi guided tour where the ranger introduces you to the cave including its history, and then takes you into the cave to explain what a how to do it.The cave has 700 steps into total going down about 32 metres. At the base of the cave is a ranger there as well to explain and answer questions.

Awesome object to visit a few hour drive from perth. ticket was affordable. They’re doing some renovations apparently, was visiting on april 2023. The cave was humid and a little cool but could get hot if you walk too fast. Plenty of parking and accessible by any mean of wheeled vehicles. Toilet and souvenir shop available.

I bought tickets online the day before at margretriver attractions website then we decided to change the time of our tour and we we're easily able to change it by contacting them. Nice customer service definitely worth booking online beforehand to ensure a place. As to the cave, We Loved it lots of information available on the information panels and not too much difficulty climbing although it does require ducking and some tight spots. Can be quite easily puffed out especially on the way back up, however serveral places to rest, its about 350 steps and can be a bit steep at times but just hold onto the rail's. We took an 8 year old and he loved reading and being able to apply the information we'd learnt. Wouldn't take little children or people have difficulty walking/climbing though, saw a few people having to carry thier children definitely something for those with higher movement capacity.

MAGICAL is the word to describe this cave the moment when you are inside. Felt like I’m in the movie of the Indiana Jones with adventures awaits as it is dark, humid with many steep steps and hidden gems in every corner. There are more than 300 steps to go to the bottom of the cave so be prepared if you have a weak knee but is definitely a great experience.

I booked on line for this cave tour and was easy to do with instant confirmation .Arrived 10 minutes early to show ticket and waited for tour to start which started on time.Tour guide was very informative, friendly, considerate of children and made sure everyone was aware of the tour process. The cave was much bigger than I imagined and took approximately 1 hour to see. The tour guide took us so far and then the remaining 3/4 was self guided. If you are elderly it's probably not the right tour for you as there are approximately 350 steps to the bottom and the same coming up. Some of these steps are steep, slippery and you definitely need to duck and bend at times as to not bump your head on the overhanging rocks. The tour from my experience is well worth it and something as I feel as must see. It was the very first cave to be discovered in the area and WA very first ever tourist attraction.
