Charlie is an awesome teacher and a facilitator. She ensures a pleasant experience both for her students and parents. She is very flexible, innovative and works with students, other teachers and parents so that the students can maximise their potential without getting stressed.Higly recommend her and her school to all parents who want their kids to learn music either as a hobby or to be a professional.

I had piano lessons with Charlie for seven years and singing lessons for four years, and absolutely loved it! I started out as a complete beginner in piano and singing, and Charlie’s teaching prepared me so well – from doing theory work that made me able to read and interpret music, to learning and refining my technique, and finding pieces that I could practice and perfect. I loved having lessons with Charlie as her method was structured enough to ensure I was making progress and constantly refining my skills, yet easy-going enough that I was happily able to approach her about any problems I was having with my theory or a certain piece. She was always organised and dedicated to helping me improve, and was always passionate about the music we worked on together. Above all, Music with Charlie taught me that music is so much more than just the bookwork and practicing on a schedule, but that with the right teacher, you can find pieces you love and enjoy playing, and develop a love for performance and your instrument!

I’ve been learning from Charlie for over two years. As an adult with some musical experience, I’d always wanted to learn piano but was worried about being stuck playing Mary Had a Little Lamb. Charlie immediately impressed me with the diversity of her musical talent and wealth of theoretical knowledge. By the end of the first lesson, she had designed a lesson plan that catered for my haphazard musical experience and involved learning music I wanted to play.Two years later, I understand concepts that were previously a mystery and have a greater appreciation for a wider range of music. Music lessons are not just for the kids, they are therapeutic after a hard day at work. Don’t put off doing something you’ve always wanted to do. If you love music, you’ll love Music with Charlie.

I've been having french tuition classes with Music with Charlie in the lead up to my HSC (I do both continuers and extension french) and she has been an amazing help in preparing me for all three sections: speaking, listening and writing. She has been particularly valuable for the speaking section as I've found it hard in the past to find a french tutor willing to just work on the things I feel I need to improve on rather than having an 'only by the book' approach. Charlie's lesson are flexible, personalised and extremely useful in the lead up to HSC and honestly in any other situation of french learning: in preparation for an exchange or overseas trip or just learning french for fun. I would highly recommend her classes to any one wanting to learn french.

It's been an absolute pleasure to work with Charlie, Ema enjoyed all the way through. Very relaxed environment, trying to accommodate all requests, no overwhelming contracts. Positive and encouraging teachers, I strongly recommend Music With Charlie.
