Purchased a rum cake yesterday for a special occasion, was very disappointed. The cake was very dry like old breadcrumbs. To pay $50 for a cake that was obviously not baked on the day is not what is expected.

A quaint little place in Northbridge - home of the world famous Apple Strudel in Perth. Very friendly staff. Though there's no place to dine in, it's totally fine- they've freshly made pre-packaged pastries and biscuits which you can stop by and pick up. The full Apple Strudel that serves 6- is quite long and retails for 28$ and the smaller size which serves 2 retails for 18$. We thought that the Strudel would be quite sweet and heavy but it was absolutely PERFECT. Crisp light and flaky layers of pastry with cream that is so yum and light and melts in the mouth. The best part was the little crunchy bits of apple, hidden in every bite like little golden treasures. It is an absolute must-try!

The Apple strudel is another level of goodness! The taste is well balance and the pastries layering is crispy, also it’s smells so good! Only take away, the ladies at the counter is friendly and helpful.

Took a plane and bought this famous apple strudel and got in trouble when checking in at the airportIt was my fault I already had a backpack and a carry-on with the 2 strudels. The lady at the Qantas kiosk was very rude to me and said I had too many carry-on items :(
