Leisure-Lee Holiday Apartments

Our expierience was relaxing and we'll looked after by staff and owners.Nothing was a problem.Excellent Location step outside to beaches and river inlet, food, hotel fishing and walk to main shops. Views Views Views. Excellent and very nicely appionted rooms.Loved it. Michael. Liza.

Absolute theft. Do not trust or give credit card to this run down establishment. Cancelled more than 24hrs before arrival due to guest getting covid. Charged credit card a day later FULL STAY - $540. Phone calls, emails ignored. Finally got onto them. Refuse to revert payment even after positive RAT test provided. They even emailed us days prior that if feeling unwell don't come. Also note their cancelation policy is 3 weeks. So even if you cancel 2 and a half weeks out they will take 100% of your money. They expected us to come being covid positive. How is this even legal! Report is being filed to ACCC.

I stayed at the lovely Leisure Lee over the weekend. It was very clean, tidy and well presented in the retro style of the building. The bonus was a full kitchen amd picture perfect sunset views from the balcony.Convenient location to the coast.Would recommend a staying here for a short trip or a break away.

Great holiday unit. Nice views. Tidy apartments. Friendly and helpful management. A really nice place to stay. Close to town but not too close. Near the local family friendly beaches, safe for swimming, and grassy shade area. Shops across the road for food and coffee. They have a bbq and seating area out the back. We had a really nice stay here. Definitely will come back here.

Our experience was obviously different from others who have posted about this stay. We were happy to go retro, and would have enjoyed that if it had been clean. The issue started with only having one towel for two of us. It was advertised that there was onsite management, but we didn't see anybody there at any time. I texted the contact about the towel issue and she apologised for the cleaner. We expected another towel would be brought up. This did not happen so we went two nights with one towel. The milk left in the fridge was half used and open. The view through the large glass window and sliding door was great but somewhat obscured by the mould that obviously hadn't been cleaned off in a long time. The skirting boards were covered in dust. I pulled out the bed to find the powerpoint to charge my phone, but quickly pushed it back rather than do that to my charger. There was no plug to wash the dishes properly so we ate out or used disposables. There were cobwebs everywhere. I understand this place is in the process of being updated. Old and scratched would not have worried us, but cleanliness was a real concern.

Beachy older style apartments in a quiet location (Shaws Bay) with views of the river (from back & front). Four undercover carparks and others shared on common land with neighbours. Our preferred booked Penthouse apartment was swapped for a smaller two bedroom one due to issues in the one originally booked. No onsite management and reception not manned. Some issues we had were satisfied after a chat with Kate via 'phone. A short drive from the Ballina main shops. Convenient pub across the road. Kitchen had full oven, microwave and fridge with freezer. Small balcony at back (facing west) and backyard had other facilities.
