There is no specific parking area for this, but we managed to park our car just before the dam, when you drive in direction of Jindabyne. When we were here, the most exciting part was the giant spill fountain. That was quite hard to see from the road as the footpath and benches are on the opposite side.

There is no dedicated carpark or lookout, which is dissapointing as this would have been a great place to visit. We could see the spill from the top of the road but could not get have a good look.

You have to park on the side of the road and walk, no dedicated parking.Good view, didn't see any water being released.

Cool to drive over, but the railing could be higher. Do not want anyone falling off if they're being stupid. other than that, the place is amazing! Fresh air, beautiful view, anything you could ask for!

Not only does this piece of infrastructure divert water away from the parched Snowy River, you also can't get a good view of the water exploding out of the power station at the base! Still, dams are cool...

Great view especially during sunset. Also a nice viewing spot with bike racks and walking paths. No deducted parking area though so have to stop somewhere nearby.

Jindabyne - Opening weekendWow this was the drive into Jindabyne on Friday 11 June 2021, lots of snow in the surrounding area. Very unusual for this time of the season, but really pretty. They got 200mm of snow a day or two before.#jindabyne#thredbo#nsw

The view over lake beautiful but no view of outlet pipes. They were totally gushing but no viewing platform. VERY DISAPPOINTING you can't photograph iconic snowie hydro infrastructure We walked from town 2 km lovely Parking said by many totally inadequate.
