RAVISHING FASHIONISTAS

This is my second year in a row joining as a model for the Ravishingfashionistas. This experience have brought me to a different level of learning when it comes to confidence and expression. The concept creator Upma Kite herself have shared her passion to all the women in different sizes, age and shape to embrace themselves and be the kind of woman they want to be. Congratulations Upma, to all the team and everyone involved for making a difference in breaking the stereotypes in the fashion industry!

It's so rare to see a fashion show that doesn't intimidate but rather encourages and inspires.Yet another high-end fashion show by Ravishing fashionistas. Making sure guests enjoy their show night with fun, comfort, and glamour is outstanding.Loveeeee and respect. I can't wait for the next show.

I joined the Ravishing Fashionistas team as a model in 2018 at it’s inception and then have been a volunteer and a sponsor for the other 3 shows. RF introduced the new concept of bringing women of all Shapes, Sizes,Ages and Backgrounds to the runway after training them over Rehearsals and model workshops.I have witnessed some pretty successful Models who started thier career with RF and are internationally published models, Professional paid models and Actors. For me RF is very special as it empowers and inspires women to greater heights which is what my mission is also about. I have learnt a lot from being part of RF and it’s definitely boosted my Fashion network as well as polished my modelling skills over the years.With RF even the Sky isn’t the limit. Rise beyond Expectations.

The great part about RF is its mission to bring diversity in the fashion industry; breaking stereotypes about how a model should look. At our recent Spring launch at The Old Government House, there was a great representation across age, cultural background and body types. As a designer, it was a dream come true to see our work on the RF runway. Kudos to its founder, Upma Kite for her unrelenting work to make her vision a reality.

Upma, the sponsors, designers, makeup/hair, organisers and the modelling team go above and beyond to organise these incredible fashion events to be at an elite standard! Behind the high class level of professionalism are many incredibly unique and haute couture designers which present eye catching “wow” statements down the runway. It is my absolute favourite fashion show of the year and being behind the scenes has given me an even greater appreciation for these events. Top standard!

We recently attended the Ravishing Fashionistas show in Brisbane 2022. Although there was some amazing parts of the show, unfortunately there was quite a bit of mismanagement on seating, lack of food and also misinformation on the website vs the tickets.PROS - we bought vip gold tickets. We were at the pre show party. The vibe was excellent. The people where lovely. We met some organisers (lady in the flower dress…absolutely beautiful and engaging)The show itself - the clothes..amazing!Diversity and inclusion was great. The feeling of inclusiveness and intimacy of the show was portrayed throughoutCONS - we paid over $200 for VIP tickets. I bought my tickets in the first release. Unfortunately, to our disbelief, we were seated outside. It is winter and very cold and there was no heaters. General public and people around the venue had the same view as we did. The people next to us told us they paid less than $100! So we were not happy. We went to one organiser - lady in dark blue dress with silver to advise if we could be moved. She initially shot us down. We were disappointed. Then we saw the same lady moving other “Sponsors” inside and then we questioned again in front of people and then she moved us. That was just not fair to be paying so much money..200 each to get horrible seats and to fight to sit indoors especially when the people around us confirmed they paid far less.Website - the website and the tickets and Eventbrite had constant different information. About our seating and pre show timings. We have different emails from people telling us different things.Preshow drinks - although the preshow drinks was good, there was not enough food coming around. We basically had about 5 pieces of finger food. Again not worth the moneyGift bag - I was asked by someone after if the VIP tickets were worth it and the gift bag and I said ‘absolutely not!’ There was just a lot of magazines, not many samples and I found it ironic that we got a $500 gift voucher for body sculpting and cosmetic procedures! When the whole intent of the show is diversity and loving your size/body..then to gift people cosmetic and body enhancement vouchers…yea not great.Overall, I feel that all the sponsors where priority and the general public was not really taken care of given our experience. I would recommend the general admission tickets over spending hundreds of dollars as the seating arrangements don’t really matter.The message and the people we interacted with was the highlight. It was great to see all these people supporting diversity.I hope they fix these marketing and mismanagement issues as this show can be something spectacular in the near the future. I would realistically rate this 2.5 stars

I'm extremely grateful to be a part of the amazing RF4 in 2022 and RF5 this year. I'm 60 years old, Ukrainian. In past I was very shy and not sure that I was good enough to call myself a model. I became confident in my own skin as a result of the amazing kindness of Upma Kite and exeptence to the Ravishing Fashionistas family. Due to the constant support and reassure of Upma Kite and all the RF team I truly believe now that every woman can be a model in her own right. Gaining this confidence I participated in Ms Diamond International 2022 and I've been awarded the title of Ms Diamond International 22. RF has empowered me to embrace my unique beauty. Thinking that I'm a model at my age makes me happy, and I am able now to overcome all difficulties in my life. Highly recommend RF, which breaks stereotypes in the fashion industry!!!
