Ridiculously long waiting time to dispense scripts. Well over 30 minutes, find a different pharmacy

Prescription wait times in my experience are too long to the point where Chemist Warehouse’s value proposition “discount chemist, never beaten on price” is a diminishing one.

I generally drop off my scripts and return a few hours later as i know they pharmacists are very busythe last few times i ive returned there is a min 15-30mins wait at the pick up counter waiting for someone to come and assist while all the people at the drop off counter get served turn up after.Today i mentioned to the staff at the checkout that additional assistance was require at the dispensary but was informed they didn't have anyone even tho there was a worker assisting that had a difficult customer but her reaction was to roll her eyes and just walk away.

Good prices. Slow service. Emphasis on slow. I’ve never experienced anything like it before. You’ll get what you need, but unless you get lucky, be prepared to wait between 30 to 60 minutes for it.

Firstly staff seem ok,However I agree with other comments about the waiting, today on a Wednesday 3pm, hardly any one in store, Carpark half full, 15 minutes in line with 2 other persons to lodge my script, before someone turned up at the counter, then 35 minutes plus to wait for medications. 50 MINUTES TOTAL. REALLY!!!!Two young lady Chemists chatting to each other while dispensing, didn't seem to be in any hurry.One guy came in when I was waiting to Pickup a medication from a script he lodged that morning, it still took him 15min to get it.Go elsewhere, eg: the Chemist Warehouse at Annerley is excellent with wait times at 10-15 min on average.

Incompetent dispensing staff who are more concerned with being right, than caring about their patients and fixing the issues that they clearly know they have. I had a long and extremely tedious conversation with the pharmacist about an issue where the pharmacy had lost the script for one of my patients, and instead of discussing ways to fix the issue, was given several pathetic excuses as to why it wasn't the pharmacy's fault. Excuses included (but were not limited to) being understaffed (not acceptable for your chronic disorganisation to affect your patients), that the script wasn't sent in the first place (I could see that it had been received via fax AND post almost 2 weeks ago), and the patient didn't give them the correct name (they did, and also gave the medicare number, DOB, and address - More than enough to confirm identity). Also, the pharmacist rudely asked me a few times 'what do you want me to do about it', to which the answer is obviously 'fix the many, many problems you seem to have'. You would think that with so many one-star reviews, it might be time to fix something about your services. Do better.

I'm unsure why the chemist has so many negative reviews, is it under new management maybe?Because I have recently moved to the city and have to say when I had an issue with an online order they immediately fixed the problem and then provided the sweetest little free sample apology gifts included in the package.

The way you treat your customers who come with prescriptions from another state is the lowest I have seen. If there is a mistake in that prescription, you call the doctor who wrote it, you are provided with their number to be called - do not argue and laugh at your customers because the doctor didn't provide something. No, you don't say the medicine for a high-risk medical condition will not be provided until the proper prescription has been sent and received by you....edit: The last time when I was in this unhappy place, I waited for prescribed medicine for almost one hour (after they couldn't find my scripts at first, as usual).

The brown-haired counter lady (I didn't get your name sorry, but I'm the embarrassing one who burst into tears at the till) was extremely nice to me. Thank you for taking time out of your day to help me when I was having a hard time.

Everytime i visit there seems to be a shortage of staff. Getting into the parking area can be iffy and tight at times but other than that the staff are friendly and always has stock.
