The walk to the waterfall is rocky and steep. But worth the hike to see this amazing waterfall

A small and free campsite on the eastern side of the Grampians. Limited sites so good idea to get in early. Not far from the waterfalls. A great starting point to hike up to Mt William. It's a big climb but worth it if you're up for the adventure

Looks like it has been opened relatively recently. You have to manually carry all your gear to the campsites and which is unusual but not a big deal. The carpark, bench seat and fireplace are shared, a couple hogged the table the first couple of days I was there. The privacy is okay if people pick the right campsites, there is practically none between #1 and #2 as I found out when a young couple showed up, and #3 and #4 could be a bit awkward as well. The area is nice, if you pick the right site and it's not too busy it can be a nice experience for solo campers, and as a bonus it's free. No fire pits at any campsites so bear that in mind if staying in cold weather. The access road is much easier from the east (via Moyston) than the west.

A 1.6km walk with an upward slope. A small section is about a 30 degree slope. But the reward is worth it. This is a seasonal waterfall so dries up in Summer. But in Spring after rain it is flowing beautifully and the wildflowers are out.

Probably my favourite campsite in the whole of Victoria. Beautiful, peaceful secluded location away from all the crowds. The scenery on the approach to the campsite has a real 'outback' feel, unlike anything else I've seen in Victoria. Took the Moyston W Road in with a camper (2WD) which was fine, although had to cross a little stream just before reaching the campsite - but that just adds a bit to the adventure!

Beautiful spot, well maintained for a free camping ground. 6 dedicated camping spots, reasonably isolated. There is a single camp fire location, not near the camp spots though, so camp fires are still a no-go really. Most roads around the area are corroded, so there isn't much near by that you can get to easily. Still, you won't see too many people here which is a big plus.

A medium to difficult hike going uphill most of the way. The scene is well worth it. Best early in the morning when I went there. Such a tranquil location, with nothing but the falling water and bird song to keep you company.

Great little secret campsite tucked away under mt William. Secluded and with a clean drop toilet.

Really beautiful campsite that was well worth the extra bit of time out of Halls Gap. Campsites are all quite private and very well maintained, but bring a mallet as the ground is very hard. Toilet is one of the nicest bush toilets I've ever used. Plenty of wildlife to keep you company - the Yellow Tail Black Cockatoos and Gang Gangs were a highlight. Will definitely be back!
