Gardeners Road Public School

We have been so impressed with GRPS. Outstanding teachers and an inclusive, dynamic and passionate school community. We couldn't have asked for a better experience for our children and feel incredibly lucky and well supported. Not to mention - so much space to play and learn!

We have had such a positive experience at Gardeners Road Public School. As a family we have felt very welcomed into the school community and my children have loved their teachers who are supportive, engaged and approachable. The arts program run by a newly dedicated art teacher is superb and having attended the athletics carnival this year it was incredibly well organised and fun. There is an active P&C and always lots of exciting initiatives running and in the pipeline. I have been so impressed with all the efforts the teachers and Principal went too whilst learning from home was in place due to covid-19.

We love Gardeners Road Public School. Our two kids started in 2020 and although we didn't know anyone, they were warmly welcomed and settled in well. The teachers are incredibly engaged. The school has very large grounds, a large library, Hall, school canteen, vegetable gardens and even chickens!The students have a diverse range of nationalities and this is something we really love about the school. The Principal, Greg Bass, is very involved and always available for parents to have a chat. The P&C at the school has a very active presence and there are lots of exciting new projects afoot...including a new playground which we are all excited for!

You can spot a GRPS kid out and about because of how kind, resilient and inclusive they are. This isn’t accidental it’s because of a great school community where teachers, parents/carers, support staff, admin staff and students work hard to keep it great. If you’re lucky enough to be in zone don’t hesitate to send your loved ones here!(Looks like all the bad reviews were from the era of the old Principal)

As an X school boy of Gardeners Road School 1959-1961 it is good to see it is bigger today. My father had a print shop called Mascot Press Pty.Ltd. 449-453 Gardeners Rd., Mascot, N.S.W. 2020. Showing Gardeners Road is Mascot one side and Rosebery the other. This came about when some of the Mascot people joined Alexandra / Waterloo 1823 Council to build and run the school., Second public school to Mascot King Street School.. Dyslexia is only a word that relates to not looking at the top parts of the sentences and not trying to look at each letter Cover the lower part of a sentence and read it. Try covering the top part of the next sentence and try to read it ! It is training the eye were to look.Change to Mascot from North Botany." 1907 . 1911

So bad school. If I have chance to give 0, then I would. This school is terrible from head, from principal. A lot violence and bullying there.
