Shocking receptionist, cannot believe with the amount of negative responses from both other community legal centres and the public that this woman still works here, most rude, arrogant and dismissive lady ever. She definitely just wants to push people along and do as little at work as she can, as well as push her attitude on people

Rang to see if I could get representation for a FVRO. Was told to call back once I had a court date. I called back 2 weeks later with a court date and was then told someone would be in touch with me.4 weeks later I get a call (3 days before my final hearing) and I get told that they cannot represent me, but they can give me legal advice.Unfortunately due to my experience with Sussex St Community Law Service I will not be giving a positive recommendation.

No responding at all they booked with the lawyer and when she called she made another appointment but never get back to me , can’t describe how unprofessional and awful is their service is , don’t know who is responsible but seems no one is care about many negative reviews they have and they not even bother to fix it.

Legal aid directed me here regarding a Family Violence Restraining Order (FvRo). I was contacted by Mr Matthew Berry who walked me through my options with expert understanding, clarity and a good deal of sympathy for my position. Incredibly, this service is free of charge or pro bono for legal readers :) If you are the victim (respondent) , and I mean that sincerely, of a FvRo served not for protection but to render a good man homeless, please contact Sussex Street. Have a pen and paper ready to note down the advice and action recommended. These people really know their brief. I cannot speak too highly of them.
