Village Court Gardens Retirement Living

My Sister and I have recently placed our Mum with Freedom Aged Care - Taylor Street and I have to say the team could not have been more helpful or understanding of how confusing and daunting the decision was for us. They were there for us through every step of the process, patiently explaining the fee structure and resale process.After exploring other options it soon became apparent that Freedom was going to be the best choice for Mum. She has her own unit which she shares with her much beloved dog. Mum has been at Freedom now for a couple of months now and she seems very happy there. I think her dementia has even improved from the additional social contact she has at meal times and activities. She likes the food and loves that all the essential services like hair dressing and podiatry are on site and easy to get to.We are glad we made the choice to place Mum at Freedom Taylor Street.

I have lived here now for five to six years.I have found it comfortable, friendly, lots to do with so many activities going on every day.I have a freedom of choice which ones I like to do.The staff are very helpful in every way. The Diversional Therapists (DT’S) just about fall over backwards to help and make sure we, as residents, are fully occupied. They specialize in arranging bus trips. The carers are always there to look after us, especially when we need to be looked after with our health problems. They also help with anything that needs doing in our units. I am sure that all they do is very much appreciated by all residents and relatives of such. I am greeted every morning with a smile. I have the feeling of being special the way I am looked after here at Freedom Aged Care.

Mum moved into Freedom early this year, and it has been amazing! The on-site 24/7 care has meant mum can live an independent life, inside her own large 1 bedroom unit with private courtyard with all her own furniture. The staff are friendly, the social programs are fantastic, and the gardens are beautiful. This is not a nursing home, this is assisted independent living, - it’s what the future of aged and disability care looks like. We can come and stay when we like, cook meals in her kitchen, and have family time in her home. I highly recommend Freedom Taylor street.
