I have just arrived in Australia and needed a cut on a tight budget. I saw an advert for $15 cuts with a trainee. Needing a only a trim, I followed the online booking system and the charge came out at $0 (not that I was expecting to walk out with a free cut at all). My hair was dry-cut (I have never even heard of that before) and the stylist was all but done before she realised I had layers in my hair and she failed to even ask where my parting goes (she brushed it straight down the middle). I wasn't too fussed as she is a trainee and I knew I had booked a cheap option and I wanted to boost her confidence and encourage her. She asked if I wanted curly or straight hair (again, I assumed this was something she needed to do, I had booked only a cut). I was somewhat thrown when I was handed a $45 dollar bill and I went home with (at that cost) a cut that had removed my layers, wasn't even straight and I looked like little bo-beep (my family and friends thought it looked ghastly and were horrified at the cost) so now I am off to find someone to fix the mess and it will probably end up the most expensive cut I have ever had. I was hoping to colour my hair at a later date but I had no confidence when I heard the girl next to me complain that her hair had been done the wrong colour by a senior stylist.
