THE UPHOLSTERY CENTRE
Had a bridge chair covered which is a timber back and cushioned base with timber legs, dropped off 25/9/17 picked material asked for studs and picked them out and said I don’t want it re padded as it’s a chair we don’t usually sit on, quote was done and it was specifically mentioned by Margaret “make sure you add in the studs” to whoever did the quote, 1 min later quote came back at 220.00 for labour!!!! Plus material plus GST. I was a little taken back but wanted the chair covered. Was told approx 2 weeks, 4 1/2 weeks later and after 2 phone calls to them, picked chair up and there were no studs, the reply I got was you were getting back to us and also about another chair you wanted recovered, this was not the case at all, I enquired about another chair but with the price for this one, I could probably buy a new one for the same price. Labour cost was the same without the studs and then was told the labour costs didn’t include the studs!!! they also repadded which I did not ask for. No customer service what so ever, no smile, no warmth. Very disappointed and frustrated that a local business treats customers like this and also a returning customer, this is the 3rd time I have used them but after this one I will definitely be supporting their competitors

The operator was very negative everything was a problem. I gave Bernard a plan chose the material. He said he’d do a quote. 3 days passed I so I rang and asked about the quote. Margaret said no we’ll will call you. After seven days I turned up at the business and was offered no havnt got to the quote yet. Really ! So I left and said I’d leave a review. Well here it is. They get a big fat zero from me there customer service is no good.

Hi I orderedand paid $88 a piece of foam to make my daughter's cot mattress about six weeks ago we had to wait a week we were told until the order of larger foam came in which we were quite happy with that week past we rang you which U told us U would keep in contact we where told that it had rained so no foam we have waited another 4 weeks for U to contact us then yesterday my partner rang U and had to give U running measurements which U should of had when U took the order for my partner to pick it up today and it's a 2.5cm thickpiece of stained foam that I wouldn't let my dog sleep on let alone my 11 month old daughter I will be in on Monday to return the foam and would like a full refund

Over the years I’ve had several pieces of furniture reupholstered by The Upholstery Centre. Ramsey’s workmanship is good but dealing with Margaret ( owner) has been unpleasant to say the least. She is downright rude and dishonest. When my furniture was delivered, the driver gave me an invoice of the amount still owing. I paid him cash, but when I checked my own invoice ( which I should have done before paying) , I realised that I had paid too much. I immediately contacted Margaret to inform her upon which she said I can email my bank details through to her, which I did that same day. Two weeks later there was still no response so I sent her another email. No response. Two weeks after that I phoned Margaret and asked her when she was going to reimburse me - I was told that she was going to do it that afternoon. Yes, you guessed it , she didn’t. When I phoned her again she gave some silly excuse and promised that she would do it that same day and of course she still hasn’t! I can’t stand people lying to me and stealing from me, therefore I have decided to take the matter to the Small Claims Tribunal. Do yourself a favour and take your business elsewhere - where people are honest and value good customer service.
