HMB Barbers - Rural View

Expensive but was ok until recently. They waste peoples time being open but can't cut 2 hair cuts with 75mins before closing. If you don't want to work then don't be open or advertise your open with your open sign up.

First time in a long long time I’ve enjoyed getting my hair cut. The lads were funny and professional enough. Wife was happy with their work too. Will definitely be going back (travel from the valley)

The guys and gal here are amazing, very good at what they do. The atmosphere is great and you never leave not satisfied. Old school service with new school knowledge. Love it.

I Witnessed Corporate Bullying to a staff member.Not impressed at all with this Barber Shop and it's corperate practices. It's seems that your haircut it's often done by an inexperienced employee. Once the haircut is complete you are asked to a pay a rediculous price. I'm not sure if the staff are properly trained Barbers. It might pay to ask for a trained Barber before you have a haircut. There are much better Barbers in the area.I also witnessed a HMB area manager use a neighbouring coffee shop to discuss the performance of an employee in a most unprofessional way.The manager proceeded to acknowledge that the employee was having struggles with mental issues and supporting his mother through a bad time.In summary, the manager then told the employee he had 6 months to improve or he would loose his job. The Manger then assured the employee that he would keep his word.Patrons from 3 tables away began complaining amongst each other as we could all hear the discussionThe manager then explained sales needed to improve so that he himself could be rewarded by HMB barbers with a boat.A man who was clearly dustrubed by the managers misconduct stood and began to leave. He then turned back, put his hand on the employees shoulder and told the employee he didn't deserve to be treated that way.The man then turned to the Manger and began to express his disgust for the managers conduct. The Manager's face changed from a surprise to a cowardly shame. The Manager looked down in shame. I think there may still have been a part of him that new his conduct was in breach.I would encourage anyone who is working in place that seems to support corporate sociopathic behaviour to seek employment else where.You won't have to look far to find better opportunities.HMB Barbers, you have shamed the Barbering Industry.

Most expensive haircut I’ve had in Mackay, they must charge a lot extra for the razor and hot towel given by other barbers freely. $48 for a $30 haircut I get everywhere else in town. Tried to reply via the email in your reply. It doesn’t exist

Watched other staff members bully one of their own...gross practices don't come here it's highly unprofessional

The woman did a good hair cut exactly as I requested using the clipper and scissors. Knows how to cut curly hair well.

Is it a big deal a women getting a men’s cut in a barber?? I like men’s cuts which is why I go to a barber. I have been here before and never had a drama but an older lady working today approached me today whilst other customers were in the store and she asked me what I was having done, I just said a trim and a tidy up and she said we’ll we don’t do womens haircuts, I was a little bit embarrassed and got the courage to say I actually get a men’s cut and she seemed okay with that. After that a little whileanother person entered the store and she said just letting you know it will be a wait I have this lady in front. I felt the tone was a little rude I should have left at this point but I stayed. I get to the chair and she asked me what we are doing I just said a tidy up. My hair is probably about two inches at the top and she asked me three times if I wanted any length off the top I said yes the first two times and the third time I said maybe just take some weight out of it. Because I got the impression she wasn’t confident cutting it. So now I have an undercut which is not something I wanted but I don’t think I’ll be brave enough to face the barbers for a while after this experience. My past experiences have been better however if I go back I will not be seeing her that is for sure.I don’t think the lady that cut my hair today wanted to work today. It felt like she wanted to do the bare minimum if anything at all.

Absolutely stunner service today at HMB!Excellent customer service at a very high quality, my first time here I must say I had the very best experience and I will definitely be back for the professional service I received today,great work guys. Everyone must try this place because they are the very best and no one can compete with them. I cannot say enough nice things about this busines.
