Whitworths Marine & Leisure - Leederville

Been to this store many times over the years, finally am fed up. The staff are an absolute joke. Seems like serving customers sort ruins the fun of their customer service jobs.

Bunch of miserable old buggers who hate having their daily chats disrupted by customers. Worst customer service of any store in Perth.Otherwise good range and prices. Shame about the staff!

Went in to pick up a few parts and got told to do my homework before I come into the shop and that I knew nothing as I hadn’t sailed around the world 9 times. Needless to say my money will be spent online out of Australia or at BCF- avoid shop at all costs grumpy sales man who thinks he knows it all. They need to remember clients are what pays their bills.

I purchased some goods from the shop a number of weeks back, when they served me, I struck up some conversation how I had just purchased the exact same article and lost it before I got to the boat. They remembered what I bought and even the colour, they had kept the item as I left it on the counter when I left. Pretty good service I thought.

Normally Excellent Service. Glen and the skinny guy with the long hair are exceptional at helping you. The Shop in Nedlands is run by zombies that want to make life hard for you.

I had a great experience. I must have got the good guy serving me. Very helpful, helped to talk me through a major purchase. Went away very happy.

Great place for boaties. Always very helpful here.Loved Skyhooks playing in the back ground.

I generally never leave bad reviews but I am getting increasingly annoyed with the lack of customer service. I have been to the shop over 20 times in the last few years because it is close to where I keep my boat and I like to support local business over ordering everything from the eastern states (although often cheaper and more convenient).My problem specifically is with the three old fellas behind the counter. They are surly, ignore you for minutes talking amongst themselves while your the only customer there standing at the counter and if something is out of stock or you ask after a specific product they shrug and tell you to look in the catalogue.The middle aged guy and the young guy are always helpful though.I reckon it is time for the old fellas to retire and to get some new sales staff.The branch in Mosman park is much better.I'll be taking the extra time to drive down to Fremantle and buy from Yacht Grot (who are always excellent) and the many great specialty retailers around O'connor from now on.

Good little shop but bad customer service. Not helpful at all (get better help from the parking inspector walking down the street).Nearly everything is overpriced.

Whenever I'm talking about bad customer service in Perth, this store always comes to mind! The actual store is fine....good range of stock and prices are decent. But I've been here probably hundreds of times over about 10 years and almost every time staff either ignore you totally and just lean around behind the counter talking to each other, or they treat you as if you've just traipsed dog**** through the store. There is some competition around now from RoadTech Marine or Yacht Grot for sailing stuff, and only had positive experiences at both.... Shop around!
