Power Shift Transmissions

Absolutely hopeless. Don't know how they have a 4 star rating.Asked them to refurbish (seals and bearings) a Toyota K50 gearbox from the early 80's. A very simple gearbox. It didn't work properly from the moment it was installed. I found out later that they had a bad rep. They claimed that the fault I had was a broken circlip that was supposed to hold the reverse gear in place. After the box was installed a second time, it was very tight selecting any gear, then it started to have the same problems as last time, getting stuck in gears, not able to select gears. They've never done a gasket for around the gearshift. They said they didn't need a workshop manual for it. It's just failed again and won't come out of second. I'm sick of wasting my time and oil. They were slow and didn't stick to their schedule either that would have been ok if they called with updates, but they don't and they don't answer their phone often. Also, will only take cash. I'll try a different shop this time.

They looked at my car and said will contact me once quotes for parts are received. I called next day, apparently still waiting on quotes for parts. I I called again couple of days later. I was told there were issues to fix transmission of my car so they would not be quoting me any more :(. A simple no at the start would have saved time for everyone.

Good honest service and the problem fixed first time.....
