A family friendly swimming beach in the heart of Wangaratta - picturesque, great shady beach areas gently leading into reasonably shallow river with only gentle current. We visited in January. Bring a picnic or close enough to shops for takeaway. Looked to be a small boat ramp a 100m down too.

The reserve is at the confluence of the King and Ovens Rivers. The river levels are currently high and the beach is submerged.

A great place to stop for a break. There were people fishing, swimming and paddleboarding when we visited. We just stopped for lunch. 2WD accessible no other amenities. No camping.
