Mt Beckworth Summit

A steep climb but a great view from the summit

Had a very enjoyable hike up to the lolloipop pine at Mt Beckworth lovely sunny day no wind absolutely beautiful.

There are multiple ways to reach the summit so theres a nice variety. The views at the top are nice on a clear day.

This is fantastic place. Now that the track has been repaired you can 4x4 drive to the Top to the plateau where the 104 yr old lone pine tree is. Great view from up that high and easy to see around on a clear day. Also another good scenic view spot 1/2 up on the same track. Captain moonlight cave is not far from here either. Just a bit of a bush walk. No public toilet in the area. It's all natural up there. All good jim

Take the road off from the intersection at Coutts Road and the Old Ballarat Road, and enjoy the scenery!

Mt Beckworth is a fair sized area covered with several walking trails. Today I did the Mt Beckworth scenic drive tho turned into a walk. Road not suitable for a domestic car, 4wd only. Ok most of way then there's these deep ruts turn up. Was a lovely walk tho, only a km of winding track. Mostly good with a few inclines. For me this place is beautiful, I love Australian bush. Interspersed with interesting boulders and little crops of banksia n brackets. Pretty vistas from the higher ground. Lots of wildlife, birds butterflies. Took my dogs, off leash, there's no signs re leasing however my 2 are track trained n stay on the path n don't chase wildlife.

Such a hidden gem, fantastic hiking, lovely camp grounds and you'll rarely see anyone else

It was early ... the Sky was clear . It was going to get hot BUT up on the top of Mt.Beckworth there was a breeze . It is a wonderful spot ...

Magnificent walk up to the summit from Cork Oaks parking area via the Feldspar Track. The return via the Northern Ridge and Yellow Box tracks made this an excellent and rewarding circuit walk. The Yellow Box track is well blazed with frequent markers, though little used and in some places the track is hard to find - keep a good look out for the marker posts!

Amazing hike! Pretty steep in some places but heaps of fun.
