Darwin City Laundromat

1 washing mashine out of order. One dryer not working and swallowed the 5$. Money changer does not take new 5$ bills. 10$ only occasionally, so I ended changing 20$.

Old machines The dryer does not work too well and I did not wash too many things. It has a cash change machine and powder detergent for $ 3. Washer and dryer $ 5 each

Awesome place, the owner was there and was nice, just checking on the place haven't used a laundry mat in ages used to. E cheaper but hey it's open until 9:30pm bonus!!

Washing machines worked fine. Did a drying cycle and my clothes didn't even feel like they had been dried at all, just warmed up. Took them out and left to hang them up!

Good equipment & reasonably priced. 40 min per wash & same per drying

Avoid - clothes came out absolutely filthy and covered in dirt and mess, far worse than they went in.

Clean and tidy but has only 3 washers and 3dryers at 45min per load you need to ne 1st in the door or you wait for hours..

So easy , cheap and convenient . Machines lock once started so I went exploring while my wash was in , timer told me when to be back . Met some backpackers there and had a chat and a laugh swapping stories , rather sociable for a laundromat . P.S. I'd never used a laundromat in my life before I went there .

Worst Laundromat experience in Australia so far (from Melbourne up the east coast to Darwin). Very dirty place (see pictures), absolutely not convenient, owners (?) couldn’t care less. One guy walked in to take the money from the washing machines, it was an old couple and us in there. No „Hello“, no smile, nothing. Later two other people who obviously live in the place next door (they enter the place from inside the laundry place) walked through and the same happened. As a customer you don’t feel welcome at all. And all this was also way more expensive than all other Laundromats so far. $6 washing machine, $3 soap, $5 dryer, $3 parking. $17 spent for 1 1/2 uncomfortable hours - laundry isn’t really clean either.
