I rang up Freedom Essendon for the availability of chair pads and got put on hold for over 30 minutes. Got hung up immediately as soon as it came through without speaking a word.Finally, when someone picked up the phone, the woman on the other end only said, I can't hear you

Not from the Essendon store specifically but purchased our TV/entertainment unit online (Noir), was on sale for 1/2 price which was a bonus. Had it delivered the following week with the delivery men going above and beyond to get the box to a difficult to navigate space. One of the cupboard doors is slightly uneven but otherwise the unit looks stunning in our living room, happy customer.

We purchased a bed through Freedom Essendon and that was a good experience. However I made another purchase on the 26th July to use my $50 credit that was part of their promotion. I chose to do click and collect and got my confirmation email. Weeks go by and I hear nothing, so I try to call numerous times over the coming weeks but nobody ever answers the phone.Finally on the 25th of August somebody finally answers my call. He looks up my order and sounds a bit baffled, then asks if he can call me back. He calls me back a while later to let me know that my order was cancelled. It was cancelled the day AFTER I placed it! And I'd heard nothing of this... He couldn't explain why it has happened or why I had no communication to let me know. I certainly don't blame him but it was just quite a ridiculous situation, and now I don't really want to shop there again.

I recently made an online purchase from the Essendon store. For one week I did not hear a thing. Called at the start of the second week and was told I would receive the items in two days. Guess what, no arrival, so I called again and was told it was going to be sent out today. So I was lied to. But they did say sorry. Two weeks to get their act together.Customer service horrible. Go to another Freedom store.

Absolutely appalled at how service at Freedom has deteriorated. We have previously been happy customers but no longer. Ordered a Flex Unit in April was advised 5-7 weeks delivery but still waiting after multiple changes of delivery dates. Ten days ago we were advised it was 2 weeks to delivery but today advised it would be 3 weeks apparently missing component in Sydney wharehouse but not shipping due to logistics. I do not believe this explanation as have had deliveries from other big name furniture stores in Sydney. No confidence we will receive purchase. Staff pleasant but no resolution of situation. Feel it’s all lip service. Check other review sites to read about other customers experiences and proceed with caution.

We brought a 3-seater Barret sofa and recliner which was order 9 months ago. On the day of arrival, it arrived damaged. I called the store, only to be told to log, an online claim which I had done via their zendesk (email only). Besides many issues with this funiture, the major one" being the leather is damaged to both pieces of funiture. Freedom had arranged for their leather specialist to come out to inspect. Stay away - Freedom systems, internal and external communication and service seem to be outdated or obsolete.- Deposit paid was told I would be receiving a sms when the remaining balance is due/ items ready for delivery.6 months later after calling we are told “yeah your items are ready you need to pay we were about to cancel the order”. There was not sms, email or call to pay.- Delivery was successful.- One month later attempt to spend reward vouchers to be told they are ready around one month from delivery. (But I’m looking at the delivered items.) 2 months later multiple phone calls and emails where I’m told delivery need to be compete and system failures vouchers are received.- When unwrapping delivered items parts were missing and not attached meaning furniture could not be used.- The insulating and arrogant store manager tried to get me to drill into my furniture and install parts myself. After pushing back she then claimed to have committed to a call back to have a technician attach the missing parts.- 8 months of follow up, store visits and emails I threatened to engage VCAT and return my products to the store directly. 2 days later I have confirmation a technician would be attending to finally attach the missing components so I can finally use my furniture.

Absolutely top notch service from everyone involved.Walked in on Friday, explained that I was looking for something fast. Zoe looked in the system for a few things matching my specs and showed me a few different sofas. She really went the extra mile to help me out, and eventually we found one in the clearance section that I'm super happy with.I came to pick up the couch the next day and called them whether they can wrap it for me. Even though short-staffed that day, the guy, of whom I unfortunately don't know the name, had wrapped it up before I came in. And I don't mean wrapped a bit this and that, no he did a 10/10 job.Can't remember the last time I received this kind of service in Melbourne, keep up the great work!
