Peppers Marysville
A nice place to have a break or holiday . Foods quality is good and taste amazing too. Staffs are really friendly. Only one negative comment / or improvement needed is the plates and cutlery set need to be cleaned thoroughly. Unfortunately many plates and cutlery set still have small pieces hardened left over foods.

We had a wonderful experience. The rooms were nice, the restaurant lovely, and the location fantastic. Definitely looking forward to a return trip and dragging some more friends along. The dinner trip was great value too.

First of all, the staff are all super friendly, from Melanie (the GM), to Rhonda (reception), all the way to Reuben (restaurant). Everybody was chatty and very, very warm. Then there’s the room, which is very comfortable and I cannot fault anything at all, not even down to anything minor. Most importantly, the bed was very comfortable and better than my own bed at home. Waking up to the sound of birdsong in the morning was so lovely for somebody like me who came to get away from busy city life for a weekend. Kookaburras were laughing on and off throughout the day.I had a surprise bottle of cabernet merlot in my room when I first walked in, and so my partner and I enjoyed our first evening watching the setting sun on our balcony drinking the wine. What a very thoughtful welcome from the team! And the restaurant has a very good selection of food, let alone being a restaurant in what is effectively a village (when I would expect there to be a restricted menu). My partner had lamb and I had the local trout, and both meals were perfection. We barely had room for dessert, but we managed to fit some crumble and some sticky date pudding, again both were scrumptious. And the buffet breakfast in the morning had a great selection. I could keep going on about the food, but the short of it is that everything is top quality and yummy. But I have to make special mention of Reuben, as it was his first night working the bar, and he admitted he was a bit nervous. I’ve had many an espresso martini before in my life, but his was by far the best I’ve ever had. He should be very proud of himself. I’d have ordered more than two if I had a stronger constitution. Also mentions to Deb, who was friendly beyond friendly and went and caught the trout for my dinner herself, or so we joked together, she and I. Would that restaurants in Melbourne had staff as friendly as Deb.But lastly, Melanie, the general manager, really needs a big shout out. She the last employee I saw in the evening and the first I saw in the morning. She will chat away with you for as long as you’d like and her laugh is infectious. It can’t be easy running a large hotel in a small location, but she does it with such panache, warmth, and love. I hope that Accor is aware of the dedication that they have in her, as she exemplifies the Heartist philosophy through and through of sincerity, personability, and warmth. She is perhaps the friendliest person that you will ever meet in your life and she genuinely wants to ensure your stay is the very best.

The location and views of Peppers Marysville are amazing and such a beautiful little town. We got a one-bedroom king suite with a balcony and small kitchenet. The kitchen had empty draws with no utensils, not even a knife to cut lemons for drinks. The fridge was practically turned off and hardly worked. We had ants crawling around the bin area and kitchen sink noticed on arrival. We could only find a booking for 8:00PM at the hotel restaurant, the service was terrible and waited until 8:30 and still the drink orders hadn't been taken so we decided to leave. We went back to the room to order room service and was told we couldn't order anything.I've stayed here before and didn't have any problems but I can tell the service needs to improve dramatically.

This place is beautiful and has great staff. We had an adventurous long weekend where our initial plans fell apart, and we kind of found ourselves stranded in Marysville past midnight. We can not thank Melanie enough, who literally saved us for the night as we were driving for nearly 7 hours.Thank you so much for your understanding and kindness to help us in the very last last last minute. We will definitely be back to enjoy more of Marysville and Peppers

Stayed 2 nights with breakfast included. Poor floor plan design. To get to our room on the 2nd floor. we have to go through a rabbit warren and 2 lifts!!Room was clean enough but with limited toiletries supplies, no bath ropes or slippers and nil basic stationeries.Continental buffers breakfast was a joke and the worst that we ever had…… cold mushrooms and spinach and tasteless scrambled eggs. When my partner asked about the empty baked beans Bain Marie, she was told that they had ran out of baked beans and not refilling it. Why leave it sitting on display?? Very disappointing and we didn’t even bother going back the next morning for breakfast. AValue for money, NO!!Would i recommend it, NO!!

Peppers in Marysville is one of the most beautiful locations I've stayed at in a very long time. The views are picturesque and it's the perfect place to stay at the bottom of Lake Mountain. The rooms were clean & tidy, parking is provided and easily accessible, and reception were always happy to help us. It's hard travelling with two kids under the age of two, but Peppers made us feel welcome and we really enjoyed our stay. Looking forward to revisiting again in the future!

Overall our stay was very disappointing. We had stayed at Peppers in Daylesford previously and had an amazing time. So we thought we would have a similar experience in Marysville but it was far from it.The bathroom was slightly mouldy and the door was water damaged with the lack of a working bathroom fan. The cleanliness of the carpet was also questionable with some stains. The room was small and lacked many in room amenities most other 3-4 star hotels would have, such as grooming kits, iron, slippers, mini bar, etc... The coffee and tea selection was pretty basic also.We were recommended to try the hotel restaurant Radius Bar & Grill. We did, as we had a big day we didn't want to venture far. The food was really sub par, most of our food came out luke warm, and I had almost finished my main before my partner's came. In fact my partner woke up early the next morning really sick and we did not eat much else after our dinner. What we experienced was just really not quite up to the expectations we were hoping for, for a hotel that suppose to have the reputation it has.

Had a fantastic night away. Stunning location and hotel. The cheeseboard and bottle of wine in the room was a lovely surprise for my husband's birthday.Rooms are clean and comfortable with lovely views. We had the take away room service from the restaurant menu which was delicious and the breakfast buffet and coffee was perfect. The team here are wonderful and truly make you feel at home, special shout out to Mel and Rhonda who were amazing!
