Ying Wah Chinese Restaurant
Ordered the vegetarian fried rice for which there was ham and prawn in the dish. Person I was sharing a meal with is anaphylactic to prawns. Luckily she didn't swallow any of it, but this is an unacceptable practice.

Maybe it was my taste, rather than the restaurant, but the meal was not great. Spring tolls had chicken and an odd meat (spam?) in, usually just expect crispy veg. The sweet and sour pork, sauce was fine, but expected crispy batter, was not so and an odd flavour to the pork. It was a take away, do not judgement on staff or venue. Don’t want to be too harsh, but not my best.

Ordered three times here trying something different with the benefit of the doubt each time. The food here ranges from below average to bad.I reckon dim sum dishes are a pretty good indicator of general food quality, and the 'dim sim' here were legit unseasoned giant balls of only minced pork inside siu mai wrappers, actually the worst I've ever had. Before Ying Wah, I didn't think it was possible to make bad siu mai. Also the veg san choy bao was 1/4 just sodium and grease, and the curry puffs were super bland and sad. The laksa and soup is alright.Every time I've ordered from here it's been actually a chore to finish the dishes, would not recommend.

Tasty food and very nice staff. Fried rice was good as well as the shrimps. Decoration were kind old school but I really liked it. Feels like home :)

Please never order from there. By far the worst meal I’ve ever eaten / thrown away. I’m not sure why or how it’s still open.

When ever I am back home I can not go passed an order at the Wah, Its my all time go to for Chinese food in the area. Dim sim steamed, Chicken Satay all time faves. All dishes I have had pass with flying colours

I've been ordering home delivery from Ying Wah for years. The last few times the entree & the main meal have arrived cold. I've always ordered Friday & Sat night and they were never late. Always on time, hot & fresh. They must have had a change of owners/management because the service has never been the same.I'll be looking elsewhere for Chinese home delivery now.

Have been ordering takeaway from Ying Wah for years up until 30/1/18. The fried rice was absolutely tasteless. The beef and vegetables was watery and very bland, more like slices of boiled beef in water with vegetables. Honestly, it was horrible and certainly didn’t taste like the usual beef and vegetables we order. We took the meal back to the restaurant as we couldn't eat it and suggested they try it. We were sure it was a different cook and we asked. The hostess told us the usual cook was away. Regardless, meals should be of the same standard and quality. I've never felt the need to criticize a meal until now. Had they apologized and offered a replacement/complementary meal when their chef returned and put steps in place to not have this happen again I would hold off writing this review. We left our phone number but no call to date. Please improve your customer service and if your chef is absent ensure you have someone who can cook to the same standard. I certainly wouldn’t recommend Ying Wah after this episode.

We are regulars & the food is always great.Staff are very friendly & we thoroughly enjoy the evening spent with family and friends
