Castle Cottage

What a beautiful piece of paradise. Thank you Barbara and Dale for the amazing stay in your lovely cottage. Highly recommend staying for a week to relax from the main land.

Castle Cottage is an absolute jewel, and a wonderful place to stay while visiting Flinders Island.Flinders Island abounds with natural breathtaking beauty. Barbara and Dale are wonderful hosts, nothing was too much trouble, but at the same time they ensured that we had our own space. If you are looking for an amazing getaway, I can highly recommend Castle Cottage. We will be back!!

We had a really wonderful stay in Castle Cottage recently. Barbara and Dale are great hosts. The website doesn't do a justice to the amenities the cottage provides. When we arrived, the woodfire was roaring, it was so inviting. The cottage has that traditional charm. The kitchen is equipped with everything to cook a proper dinner such as pepper, salt, oil, sugar, flour, as well as teas and coffees. 2 Bedrooms, all beds have electronic blankets, so warm and comfortable going to bed. The bathroom area is very spacious, clean, with quality towels. We felt very much at home, but more relaxing than home. Barbara even provides a picnic bag for those who want to have a picnic while exploring the beautiful beaches.The cottage has beautiful views overlooking green farm land and the beautiful Allport Beach. Woke up one morning, we were so chuffed that three peacocks flew into the back garden. Another morning, a dozen of beautiful chickens came to the front garden. I felt my mind was at so much peace sitting by the fire in the evening, and totally detached from the chaotic world.We would highly recommend Castle Cottage to anyone who wants space and home away from home while exploring Flinders Island. We stayed for a week at Castle Cottage on Flinders Island. Castle Cottage is ideally set to explore Flinders Island, you do need to hire a car, but, you need to hire a car to explore Flinders anyway!2 Bedroom, spacious, clean and very comfortable, lots of extras included.Barbara and Dale are wonderful hosts ready to share their knowledge and love of Flinders Island, not to mention gifts of awesome fresh seafood when Dale had been fishing.We would highly recommend Castle Cottage if you are looking for a totally relaxing holiday, beautiful private beaches galore, peaks to climb or lazy strolls along the foreshores.The Interstate Hotel at Whitemark serves the BEST meals, We ate there x3 and each time was exceptional.Thank you Dale & Barbara for making our visit to Flinders Island so very special.

Craig & I had a lovely time in this beautiful, serene island, our hosts Barbara, Dale & their daughter Courtney were so friendly, helpful & their cottage was clean, comfortable & everything we needed was supplied.
