Doggie Distractions Day Care & Grooming

Our dog had it's first day yesterday and she was super happy when we picked her up. Slept all night lol

Excellent. Best doggy day care ever. My girls been going here on and off since a puppy and it's been great. Tired(well exercise from playing all day)happy well socialised doggo! We also did a manners class with the dog trainers here as well and are looking forward to the tracking classes when they get up and running. The new building is fabulous as well with aircon running in this summer heat. Renai Courtney and the girls will have your dogs in safe hands. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Our pup absolutely loved this Doggie Distractions daycare. The staff were fantastic with some of them still working at the business under the new owners. They are very personable girls and love the pups as much as us pawrents do. Unfortunately once the business was bought by the current owner a few months ago, things changed for the worse. Their 20 day passes recently increased by 40% and the timeframe in which you could use them changed from 3 years to 8 weeks. This meant our dog would have to attend 5 days per fortnight or pay the casual rate to continue 1 day weekly, which worked out to be an 80% increase to what we were paying per day. As the email was sent over the Christmas break, it meant we didn’t get to say goodbye to the fantastic staff that have been there for years. However I cannot justify paying the increase as I was travelling 25kms each way as well. Very disappointed after a fantastic 18 months our pup has been attending.

Have been taking my dog to Doggie Distractions since before the new owners- continued when the new owners took over. Never have had a problem until this afternoon, when collecting my dog.I Mentioned to the lady this morning for my dog to have a bath and blow dry. This afternoon I arrive, there was nothing about my dog having a bath, understandably, must have been caught up, no worries. Then the lady goes to collect my dog, peeps through the door and couldn’t find his collar- then tells me he did actually get a bath. Amazing- although 4.45 in the afternoon in winter he is still damp. He had been there since 7.30 this morning. She couldn’t find his collar, before letting him out, I could hear what sounded like yelling telling a dog to sit, now I believe she was yelling and telling my dog to sit as he didn’t have a collar on. lets him out into the office while she goes to have a look, he was panting and his heart was racing,I have never seen him like this before.Unable to find the collar, provides me a leash, so he could be safe to get to the car. However the collar is needed as he only goes to day care once a week. This just wasn’t going to cut it.She make a phone call and proceeds to tell me, to take a collar/ harness from the shop until they find the collar for my dog. Of which I bought from a dog trainer, that comes as a set with a harness over the nose. While waiting for her to find the collar I could hear a dog howling, I paid afterwords for the bath/ blow dry for my dog, as it wasn’t yet put into the system and left. Told me by next week they should have found my collar by then. I have never had issues with the new owners until today. The previous owners wouldn’t have let this happen.

Doggie Distractions groomed our Pom this week . Fantastic job. So happy with how he looks. I provided photos of how I wanted him done and he’s perfect . He’s even cuddlier than ever .Thanks all.

Renai and the team do an amazing job of giving my puppies love, fun and learning at Doggie Distractions. I trust Renai implicitly with my dogs and know how well they are looked after. There are so many activities for the pups that make them happy. And to get the report cards on all 3 of my pups recently gave me the biggest smile, not necessarily because they were 100% true (ha ha) but because it showed how much you care about the pups and their owners. The staff are super friendly, attentive and caring. My dog loves this place!
