Virgin Active Zetland Gym
Gyms clean and tidy, lots of equipment to use. Massive sauna which is needed as it can get busy during set times. Lots of classes to work your way through.Reception staff are very helpful, Tamara (who’s out back) has been exceptional dealing with questions and enquiries.

Virgin Active Zetland Gym
I have been a VA member since 2015 and was a regular at Pitt street but have been using Zetland club in the last few years. I have tried a few other gyms including some renowned names but nothing beats Virgin if you account for all the services ( classes, equipment, pool, sauna) and the cost associated with all that comes with it. They've recently included some amazing equipment and created more space. I do miss the Les Miles BA classes by Mark and I truly hope they can bring that back. Exceptional customer service, team genuinely want to help you and I would have no hesitation to always remain with VA! I just hope they open one more branch somewhere in Inner west!!

Unfortunately this gym has gone down hill in recent years and especially now. It's far too over crowded, and recently I had to wait over 40 min to use the squat rack before giving up and doing cardio.A lot of members don't wipe down equipment after use, and treat the gym like their own, hogging multiple equipment by leaving their towel and drink bottle next to a machine they're not using and not allowing other members to use that machine that's just sitting there unoccupied for long periods of time. Very selfish and rude behaviour!The icing on the cake is recently I'm seeing young kids at the gym and worst of all in the pool area. This gym is for ADULTS and I don't want to deal with screaming children running around when I'm trying to relax in the spa. The gym is my sanctuary AWAY from kids! This nonsense has to stop. I feel more stressed going into the gym when it should be a place for me to escape my everyday stress.

Virgin Active Zetland Gym
I joined VA last month and have been so impressed with the classes including the different types of yoga and cycle classes. It's always so clean and everyone is friendly. The yoga spaces are particularly nice because they have beautiful scents/aromatics and candles etc. Would highly recommend! Cecilia has also been fabulous during my onboarding :)

Water and toilet paper everywhere in changing rooms.Staff are not cleaning. And clearly need some mats between shower and poolNot very nice experience to see that mess.No excuse either.

Virgin Active Zetland Gym
The gym itself is good, but it's always too crowded. Most of the time, my workouts are ruined because I can't find an available squat rack, bench and the machines are taken. They need to think about capping memberships at this point. It's to the point where I have tried almost every time as I possible can - mornings, afternoons, evenings. It's always SO cramped. The pool and classes look nice, but there is a disproportionate amount of members wanting to use the weights section. Not enough machines, benches, squat racks, etc. to cater to members needs. Unless membership is reduced or more machines, benches and squat racks are in place, I wouldn't recommend joining if you don't want to be cramped to other members side-by-side. This gym is NOT functional for someone wanting to train weights and get a real session in without the stress of ALWAYS waiting for equipment.

Extremely Poor services.I recently tested Covid positive with the proof of my PCR test done by registered nurse. They refused to waive the fee during the “freeze period” even tho I am trying to do the right thing not to come to the facilities.*Note that I have already agreed to pay in full amount for this week since it’s not their “calendar week” & they can’t do anything about it until 4 May.They r suggesting me to go see the GP to get the certificate in order to waive the fee even tho I have Covid. This is so ridiculous and unreasonable.Virgin active is not cheap for their membership fee, you will expect better and more reasonable services. Very disappointed.

I have been a member of Virgin Active since they open in Zetland a few years ago. I find the club is well managed and has great facilities and there is always enough equipment even in peak times. The spa itself has a luxury feel and the pool and sauna facilities are great.Staff are incredibly professional, always with a smile when you arrive and super helpful.Rod has been my PT for a long time who has a program specially designed for my needs to reach my goals. He has been amazing, always with a smile ,highly motivating with a positive attitude. Rod has inspired me to see working out in a more optimistic way with a view to seeing my dream through and achieving my goal.Excellent value for money and a super friendly, welcoming atmosphere.Beautiful place for a work out, swim, class or sauna.

I've been a member of this gym for over a year now, and it's by far the best gym I have been at. The staff are all amazing and so helpful. If your not quite sure of a exercise you can ask anyone of the staff, they will stop what they are doing and show you what to do. The manager Brittany looks after this place like it is her home. Consistently walking around the gym picking up any little bits of rubbish. Making sure it's a nice and clean environment for people to work out in. Very friendly, has alot of time for all her members and makes them feel.so welcome.gos above and beyond for this gym.

worst gym, small pool. overpriced for such poor customer service. Plus they didn’t offer student rates( they specifically stated this actually )when I was with them. No fresh air, but I guess that’s very common. I cannot believe I stayed with them for two years
