RACV Emergency Roadside Assistance

Great experience. Sorted out the issue without fuss. Gave a heads up that there was a delay (about 3 hours). Tracking was handy. The delay did not affect me. But for someone who had an issue whilst on the road, it would be frustrating.

4pm call made RACV wait time too long (30 min) when I got thru advised long wait for assistance? Recd SMS no approx time given for assist to arrive. Enquired further twice more phone wait 30 mins ea. I called as not being near my home (Rosebud) in Bulleen my last call adv Mech in Templestowe wld be some hrs yet to get to me. My feeling is phone questions did not meet my expectations. I called chat line couldnt help me either chat line adv didn't have tech to assist me? I've worked for contact centre (15 yrs) cust service long wait times happen customer needs to have more specific info to make alternative arrangements. It's all about communication.

Got the job done for a mate of mine. My mate was down the road so came over to ask for some help. I had to call as he is in his 80's and doesn't have a mobile phone. The call centre was very understanding of the situation and the fella who came out to get the car going again popped into my place after to let me know it was all sorted. Great customer service from the time of my call right through to the car motoring down the road

Absolutely horrible experience so far. Made a claim online but the portal to get the hire car is down. The repairer doesn’t have hire cars. Have tried calling. Was on hold for 1 hour 26 mins and then get a message to say they have technical difficulties. I’m still on hold now for 15 mins! no access to online options! RACV is worst ever! Will change policy!!!!

Never though RACV's roadside assistance will be like this waiting for nearly 3.5hrs stuck and no one is attending. I have been member since 2012, called several times and every time no ETA, just some random words. I can't recommend this service to anyone really.

We broke down yesterday on the Calder Highway near Wycheproof and contacted roadside assist. They were super helpful at the call centre and contacted the service representative.He phoned us and asked what was wrong with the car and came and picked us up in the tow truck and took us back to his Charlton garage then rented us a vehicle whilst he repaired our. Big shout for Craig Walsh.

Even though I’m not a member (yet) the guy who answered my calls was super helpful - to the point that, when he asked what my vehicle issue was, he recommended another company that could help me sooner. I was really impressed and now plan on joining.

Fantastic service!I was given an estimated wait time (under 50mins) and the battery was replaced quickly.Very convenient, efficient and great peace of mind.

Super speedy response & resolution of my electric key issues. Even better that the locksmith charges were covered!
