St Marys Fish & Chips

I used to visit this shop a fews years back and service and food was great. Did it change hands? Because today I bought some Barramundi fish and chips. The fish was terrible. It had a horrible taste and smell. Standard has certainly dropped. Won't go back.

Placed at order at 7.30pm via Menulog for a pickup at 8.15pm. St Marys Fish and Chips accepted my order within minutes of me placing it. I arrive there at 8.15pm to be told they are closing soon and did not make my order. This is very disappointing and I will never buy from this place ever again and will tell my friends about this terrible experience. If they couldn’t make my order for an 8.15pm pickup they should have declined my order so I could order from somewhere else that could.

Don't remote order. When things go wrong, and for me 3 times proves it. You can call to sort things out. Menulog log have failed delivery every time. Now I can't get my money back. Hopeless. Very bad service in every respect

The fish cocktails were dry, as were the chips. The chips looked and tasted like they were cooked in oil that hadn’t been changed in a while. Potato scallop was ok, though not worth $1.65 each.

Worst chips I’ve had in my entire life. Soggy and not done. I only wished I checked reviews first. I do not recommend complete waste of money.

We are regulars at Woolies nearby. But this is our first time at this store. I ordered a grilled fish,chips and salad. A bottle of water came along. When placing the order I was asked which salad and I looked at the options and said Greek salad. When my order arrived garden salad was in. The lady at the counter faired to tell me Greek salad costs 0.50 cents more or probably had a hard time understanding her English accent and missed her telling me. I speak simple plain English but not sure if English was not her first language.My partner ordered a medium chicken pasta salad from which he had few spoons only. He disliked it too. The fish was okay to eat but had to take the skin off. The chips and salad was not good. I really felt bad since didn't enjoy the meal at all and wasted money too.I was never a fish and chips lover but tried few places which served awesome fish and chips and enjoyed it to the core.Had a bad experience with Toros Kebab too and 2nd bad experience in St Mary's shopping village.Better to eat frozen or packaged food then fresh food here.

I went in on my break to get lunch and my total was $10, however, upon paying I realised I was charged $10.16. I asked the lady why I was charged that amount when she had already advised my order was $10 and she pointed to a sign saying that there is a 1.67% surcharge on on card payments. Disgusting that they think they can charge these payments without making there customers aware of the total price they’re paying.

What a hidden gem.I had chips and 6 potato scallops.Outstanding chicken salt, crunch and softness ratio.

For $8.80 it was good.Chips was goodTastyGoodThanks
