In town for a few days - stumbled across the shop. Thomas was excellent - master at work! Haircut and some schoolin on what would work best for me. Great chat and a fantastic result! Cheers Thomas - excellent job!!!

My first experience at The Ugly Barber today. Had a wonderful time. The staff was very hospitable and friendly. Got my hair cut with Rowen. The guy know what he is doing. No fancy do-dads, just a trimmer, and a pair of comb and scissors. He worked with precision and went to great lenghts to give me a good cut. And he gave me the most immaculate beard trim. The hot towel at the end was just cherry on top.Thanks you team!

It’s a rare occasion when a 20 year old, or maybe just myself, decides to write a review, this in fact is actually my first ever review, but honestly I felt it necessary. I’ve been coming to The Ugly Barber for the better of half a year now, and today was the last time. I made note of this in the last 3 haircuts Jelena has given me, and have decided that this was the final straw. She is nothing but rude and cold towards me consistently, and it’s gotten to the point where I feel like I have missed something and have personally wronged her at some point. I’m unsure what I have done, but all I receive from her is snide, rude comments and nothing else. So much so to the point where I feel very uncomfortable sitting in her chair. This may be a personal experience just for me, but I can’t make the excuse that I’ve just caught her on a bad day because this is the third time in a row, over three months that I’ve experienced this. It genuinely is a shame, because I think she is very good at her craft, I’ve never been unhappy with a haircut, but her attitude is horrendous. I really hope this is an individual experience just for me, because it has definitely put me off ever coming back.

As a bloke, I have been the victim of many terrible and inconsistent haircuts. Came here on a recommendation from a friend and I have never looked back. Every barber I have seen has always given me exactly what I’m looking for (even when I don’t know what that is) and I’ve left feeling like it was worth every dollar. Super sick, down to earth crew who just know how to cut a mans hair. Recommend them to anyone looking for a solid cut every time.

Let me set the scene.... I rock up to my appointment and am greeted by a friendly bloke asking me if I want a beer. Naturally my response to this question is absolutely a yes! As a sip my pale ale we enter into discussions of what to do with my unruly beard. After a few minutes and a few more sips of my pale ale, I'm told to trust...now for all those with a medium long beard, that's a big step. A step that usually requires a 'you'll have to buy me dinner first' response. Anyway, after 20 minutes and $25 I am super chuffed. Big tick for the Ugly Barber. Definitely will return...

Great haircut! Had an appointment with Rhema today. I have curls, and often have problems that people just cut it too short. But the minute I sat down she was all about the curls, making suggestions on ways to manage it, on how to shape it better, etc. Really good experience, am definitely coming back!
